Are they any sources more accurate than Livy about the Roman Kings? Even anthropological sources would do.

I'm vaguely aware that some of the kings were of Etruscan origin

The primary problem is that the Roman Kings are primarily known through Roman sources, and the Romans for their part had a tendency to paint people they didn't like in a not overly friendly nor honest light. Hence, the further back you go, the more falsified and hostile the sources probably become, unless you find sources that have been written during the reign of the kings themselves.

Livy is the earliest literary source. He's writing something like 400 years after the fact.

You might as well just read Livy and then read a historian's account of livy's story, because there isnt much else that im aware of, unless you count the Aeneid which was 100% bullshit.

>I'm vaguely aware that some of the kings were of Etruscan origin

we know for sure that the last three were etruscan

anthropological sources would do.

i think there might maybe be some records or something that show that tarquin and the other two existed, but im not 100% on that, nor could i tell you where to find them. i think his name mightbe written somewhere in the temple of jupiter or something like that, but again i cant remember exactly.
