The meme i assume comes from the language, Finnish is not related to the rest of the scandinavian languages, in fact, is not even indo-european, is from the finno-ugric language family, Hungarian and some siberian languages are also part of the same family, so i guess it comes from there.

Also, most populations in the north and i mean the farth north, are composed of "mongoloid" people so finns seem to have some admixture from those populations.

i'm no anthropologist, so take that with a grain of salt

nah. Fins, Sami, and karelians are all caucasian. Some just have mongoloid-like features

You do understand that anthropology and genetics do not support in any real way what white exists, right?

White originally just meant Anglo-Saxon. If you weren't that, you weren't white and probably considered inferior.

It was a colonial Americas thing.

Due to other paler ethnicities looking vaguely similar, and anglos still being a major majority in America, people automatically assumed everyone was one of them if they looked similar enough.

It doesn't really exist.
