skipping out on responsibilities, lacking motivation, having no goals, and planning to commit suicide are the most canonical possible reasons to get help for depression
the first-line treatment for depression is cognitive-behavioral talk therapy alongside anti-depressants. if they give you an SSRI, which is pretty common especially for the first few meds yr trialling, that'll take a few months to show effects. you are probably gonna try a few meds before you find one that works. if you go through a few SSRIs and the timescale for deciding if it works or not starts to feel like death, ask about atypical anti-depressants- Wellbutrin is one- or an adjunct, like (the still-very-expensive, even in generic) Abilify. Zoloft and Wellbutrin is a well-known combo (they call it 'Welloft').
you're gonna have to ask, directly, for anti-depressants. it feels strange. doctors in other disciplines will tell you "you have cancer, do this." in psych, particularly in the U.S., you usually have to tell them specifically what you want (unless you're schizophrenic! they're pretty pushy about that). your therapist might say you should "think about" drugs; if you decide you're ready, you'll have to tell them that you specifically want them. if you get a rec to visit a psychiatrist, you should have a spiel ready that you have clinically-significant depression and you need to start anti-depressants. psych docs tend to take waffling, not-sures, what-should-I-dos, and what-do-you-think-I-needs as cues to not do anything, it's maddening.
be careful talking about suicidality. you might wanna say you're "ideating" but you have no firm plans, unless/until you develop firm, relatively short-term plans- then, definitely tell someone. involuntary hospitalizations suck, and may hurt more than they help.

>the first-line treatment for depression is cognitive-behavioral talk therapy alongside anti-depressants.
this is a factual statement about the standard of care for depression. I didn't make it up, and it doesn't mean 'you HAVE to take drugs'
>your therapist might say you should "think about" drugs; if you decide you're ready, you'll have to tell them that you specifically want them.
it is, or should be, always your decision to pursue a course of treatment. this whole paragraph was 'if you think you need anti-depressants, what next?
this is just shit I wish I'd known when I started to pursue treatment. I'm not saying 'go order anti-depressants online and start taking them right now immediately'; that's just my opinion about HRT, if you're interested in trying.
if you're struggling to keep up with the demands of your life, to the point you want to die, 'put more effort into solving your life problems' is bad and dangerous advice. 'solve your problem' is empty advice, not a solution. it doesn't work. drugs and therapy do, when you hit the sweet spot.
my actual recommendation for this anon is 'seek help, consider therapy and/or drugs as options.' you usually gotta do therapy to get drugs, and some people end up doing fine with therapy. anon doesn't have to do jack shit. their goals, their decisions. but I have advice about achieving a variety of care goals for depression, so I gave it.

when I had my spring semester freshman year breakdown and was voluntarily committed, there was an opening at the Nice Cushy Low-Risk Inpatient Program in town. I say cushy, and it was, but the cost was sliding scale- getting in was luck, and happening to not be a suicide or violence risk. it was a really pleasant experience relative to most people I know, who went to the bigger psych ward in town with risk-to-self-or-others folks. I did therapy exercises and learned coping skills while they adjusted my meds. in the meantime I taught this lady with DID who'd had a stroke how to crochet, my roommate was a juggalo and gross in the way I unfortunately found appealing at the time, and a girl in there hit on me by telling me I looked like Robin Thicke.
I went to several AA/NA/Dual Diagnosis meetings because we went to them all together, which got weird if someone asked me to talk. 'yeah I don't use any substances more than incidentally, I'm just uhhh here?' they're chill though

You have 3 days to make your turn. You play with the mouse. Click a unit to select it. A small menu with its actions will come up. Select, for example, "move", then click the tile you wish to move your unit to. You capture cities to gain steady income, only Infantry and Mechs can cap. You can move to a city and cap it on the same turn. A city has 20 HP to be capped and each full HP soldier company has 10 hp so it will take 2 turns to cap a city if your soldier isn't damaged (capping doesn't damage ur guys)
