Pretty much a love song, but these lines are great:

A good jazz ballad often puts my mind at peace. Slow, soulful, melancholy, but hopeful.

If you don't mind jazz that's a little on the avant-garde side of things, I'd recommend listening to A Love Supreme by John Coltrane. One of the greatest, most emotionally-charged, and hopeful albums out there in my opinion. YouTube seems to have taken all the studio recordings down, so all I've got here is a live version of the fourth and final track, but if you can get your hands on the original album in its entirety do so.
