The use of this board should be for any type of charity that can be achieved or organized through the internet. The definition of "charity" here is as follows: any act done to emotionally, socially, educationally, or materially aid another imageboard user. This can include but is not limited to: giving advice, making friends, organizing social "gatherings", professional networking, compiling educational resources, and providing material assistance to needy anons. Be creative! Think of ways that anons who need help aren't being helped, and help them! The real world takes care of their own, but we are all we've got, so why not help each other?
This is a bully-free zone, in the /kind/ tradition. That doesn't mean that this is tumblr and anons can scream about microagressions, or that someone letting their own feelings get hurt due to a thin skin constitutes bullying. This is an imageboard and banter is a part of our being; but the use of shitposting to put other anons down and purposely insult or belittle will not be tolerated. In other words, be polite, and if you must shitpost, be playful rather than nasty.
There was a strong religious impetus to the creation of this board and no doubt it will attract many of a religious persuasion. This is not /christian/ or /pol/, however, and interdenominational bickering will not be tolerated. Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, Muslims, Jews (yes, even Jews), Pagans, Atheists - all are welcome and should leave their enmities at the door. That does not mean religion cannot be discussed, or even that evangalization is not allowed, but discussions should be civil and the B.O. and volunteers will not hesitate to ban everyone involved in religious shitflinging. If you see someone startin' shit, hide, report, and move on.
Though this is not, strictly speaking, a discussion board, any discussion on any topic will be tolerated as long as it remains civil, is not repeated more than twice in the catalog, and is held in a spirit of kindness.
This is a SFW board. Porn addiction is one of the evils this board was created to combat. /c/ute images are fine, but l/e/wd images cross the line and will be removed. Even spoilered lewd is not allowed. Outright porn, or any image intentionally meant to disgust or upset such as explicit gore, goatse, etc. will result in a ban.
Advocating suicide to a specific anon, linking an anon to /suicide/, or otherwise encouraging or abetting suicidal anons in any way is forbidden and any posts of that nature will be deleted and the poster banned. Civil debate on the topic of suicide will be permitted, but not within any thread made for the purpose of seeking help with suicidal ideation or discouragement from the act. If you want to debate the morality of suicide, make a thread and follow the rules of this board. People come here because they want to be talked out of such decisions; those who come to this board with the express purpose of encouraging anons to kill themselves will be treated as malicious and banned.
Be careful with information that you give and receive. /hope/ is a board where a lot of networking and socializing will necessarily take place, so be smart and discreet. I'll try to put up some sort of sticky with advice from smarter anons than me on how to safely interact with people.
