 No.1102

instead of copying the file into db folder, is it possible to just refer a external file in db?

 No.1110

File: 1441646748215.jpg (473.41 KB, 1625x2116, 1625:2116, a7de3e98e404e8924dd66d705c….jpg)

Not at the moment.

Both client and server rely on the files they manage remaining exactly as they are i.e. their content and location does not change. Files outside of the database can be deleted or edited or moved, or they can be swapped with different files just by switching filenames around. Files stored on removable drives can disappear without warning, and putting things in different places makes it much more difficult to backup or restore.

What sort of scenario do you have in mind?
