>>622>>623At the moment, I am advising people to make different instances of hydrus in these cases. If there are no private images on your 'sfw' client, then it doesn't matter how much someone looks over your shoulder, or how general your searches are, you won't be seeing/showing what you don't want to.
I am
generally open to the idea of adding 'sfw' modes, but I can't figure out a way to make it both comprehensive (i.e. no slip ups, no false positives or negatives), and also convenient and fast enough to work in real time. For instance, even if I spoiler/hide a set of images, their tags will still show up in the autocomplete tags dropdown. I can try to make a system to hide 'bad' tags, but that's a rabbit hole that'll add lag and likely be a pain in the ass for the user to maintain.
I think of it like some regime's internet censorship, I guess? No matter how much some bureaucrats try to block porn/dissent, it'll always get through, by accident if nothing else. The best way to guarantee a pure search is by having a pure db, I think.
If running with -nsfw doesn't work for you, I've designed hydrus to be able to work well as multiple instances. Please let me know if you need any help setting it up.
