You're asking for two things that are the exact opposite of each other.

As someone that's been in the online community for decades and well before "the Internet" existed as it does today, I can also say that many years ago I was delighted to have been able to let go for Soforia many times when she was still with us. Then I moved on to AnonyMistress (best voice evarrrrr) but these days because there's so little real talent (sorry, it's just a fact) it's nice to be able to say I find Nikki Fatale's style (and voice, of course) to be more aligned with my particular tastes I suppose I can say.

I'm not into absolute total domination when it comes to working with a Hypnodomme - I'm into the feel of things, the experience, and not total outright "I AM YOUR EVERYTHING NOW FUCKING PAY ME…" or anything even close. My tastes are far more vanilla I guess, and I don't need to be changed, and I don't need to worship anyone least of all dedicate my entire existence to someone that just makes some fucking audio files for people to listen to and make a few bucks from for doing so.

Lady Jenifahr was another one that came into the community years ago and had some really great - and rather vanilla, as the case was - files that were awesome for what they were. She truly exuded a feeling of wanting to help people learn more about hypnosis and just to learn to let go and relax more than anything else. Outstanding voice as well, I like many other people have a weakness for a female speaking with (from our point of view) a British accent and her voice and style was spot on perfect for me.

Other than those, I really haven't ever found any others of the hundreds of Hypnodommes that interest(ed) me, honestly. Most of them have either no talent and just decided to start recording stuff one day for whatever reason, or their production values are lacking - I've edited audio files for a wide number of them over the years so I had/have first-hand knowledge of their actual level of skill. Sadly some of them are better off not even bothering but I don't choose to hurt people's feelings on purpose or point out those that I feel shouldn't have become involved in this community at all. Personal preference and opinions, of course, and all mine alone.

Nikki has some fantastic content, she really does, and of all the many many files she's done there's only one or two that really push limits in terms of 'worship' but, if you're an intelligent adult you go into listening to such files knowing this is all just imagination at work anyway. The "Satin Angels" files are pretty serious stuff, and the "Backroom Altar" files are as well but again, since my tastes are somewhat vanilla - I just want to let go and relax, and follow along where the hypnotist wants to take me but I ain't gonna beg or get on my fucking knees and worship someone not even in my imagination, it ain't happening.

Anyway, some thoughts on the topic at hand. Nikki is in my opinion still the best out there to this day (since Soforia and AnonyMistress are now no longer with the community), and I don't know what Lady Jenifahr is up to these days, she may have pulled away herself.

I tend to agree with your general observation about lack of new talent. However, if you like British accents, you should perhaps have given Charlotte Gray an hono(u)rable mention too. I still go all gooey listening to her voice! :) And she was/is always very generous with her free files, using them as a means of attracting online-session business. But for overall breadth of content, style of delivery and technical quality, Nikki is IMO unsurpassed.

Soforia was before my time. I've found the usual bunch of files on the torrents but have no idea whether it's a comprehensive set or just a subset of her work. Can you advise? I'm also curious about what was the attraction of Soforia, other than she was one of the first in the arena.

You should check Amethyst (very addictive) and Tessa Fields (try Tough Guy 1).

Live Wilde, but she will tease the hell out of you, and mildly mark you as her (try Hypnotic Bind, The Grip).

Also Emma Evans can be interesting, but her sessions are more like story telling (try Siren's Song, Bad Medicine).

But "no goddess phrases" and "loyalty to domme" are usually aligned, maybe not with "goddess" but with "mistress".

Heavy on loyalty, addiction, being over your wife/gf is Alexandra Snow, but also her dominance is far stronger than mild not including goddess thread, that being said her real life experience and intelligence make her really interesting, she almost exclusively doing videos.

Still comparing with Nikki, that sexy playful Nikki that we all love, its really hard to find someone that perfectly balanced between seduction, trance control, power exchange and trust.

Soforia was all about the experience, and helping people learn new things about themselves - it was never about absolute domination, or draining someone's bank accounts, or anything like it. She was and will forever be an artist first and foremost and the imaginations of those she worked with were basically her canvas, I'd say.

As noted, she really was the first widely known "Hypnodomme" out there, especially around the time the Internet as it exists today came about (around 1992-ish when DARPA released immediate day to day control over what was then the ARPAnet which then became "the Internet" as we know it now).

At one point I did have a great many Soforia files but I've lost them over time for various reasons (damaged backups, etc) but someday I do hope to re-acquire as many of them as I can. I feel the same way about AnonyMistress as well, and I keep scouring over the backups I have around hoping to find them once more since I had quite a few but just literally cannot find them anymore, sadly.

Both of those artists sit at the top of my faves (AnonyMistress has a slight edge because of that voice) and Nikki Fatale is right there nowadays as well. If only the original productions of Soforia and AnonyMistress could have been done in a more professional manner I swear, that would be like a Holy Grail type thing. As it is, a lot of their oldest original content was done with bare bones hardware, low quality mics, cassette recorders, etc and so they suffer from noise and other problems.

I myself worked on a few of Soforia's last files for her after they were done to improve the quality of them years ago but it was about the time when her health took a nosedive so it's probable that she never had the opportunity to hear what I'd been able to accomplish in terms of editing them and cleaning them up and making them sound better (at least IMO, that is).

Another great one that rarely if ever gets mentioned around here is Lady Ru'etha who's been around for quite some time but doesn't have a massive treasure trove of content available. She's also gone by several names over the years but the current one seems to be what she's settled on it seems. She released two free files many years ago, Eye Inducer and Meteor Total Trance, and the first time I listened to Eye Inducer (as named, it's an eye induction trance which are the most intimate kinds) and I swear, I've never dropped so hard from an audio file on the very first listen and I've heard hundreds if not thousands of 'em over the decades. :)

She has a remixed version of Eye Inducer at her website in the free files section (blisstrance.com) but I don't find it all that interesting - it's got some music and reverb and multiple voices overlaid in it now, whereas the original file (which I still have) is just her voice, which is all that matters.

If anyone wants that original Eye Inducer just say so and I'll post it someplace, it's basically impossible to find anymore - I don't think even Ru'etha has the original unedited unremixed version but I will treasure it forever.

Again, I can't say it'll work for everybody else, but if you've got a good imagination and you follow along as she asks - like any good subject would - it'll more than likely be a great experience for you. It worked for me the first time about 11 years ago when she gave it to me directly in a chat and it's worked every freakin' time I've listened to it since that time, several hundred I'd say if not more than a thousand.

Who knows, it might just become a fave for someone else which is a good thing.

I finally tried it out. That's a very effective induction, I must agree. I found it most effective when I tried to visualize not only her green eyes but also her mouth speaking the words. Of course, it's all designed to keep the conscious mind busy, so the extra task I gave it really did it for me. She also has a nice voice, wich always helps.

I notice that the file you gave us has a highr bitrate than the one from Her site, so is also just that bit clearer, though the sibilants were still a bit harsh. (Not that this made a difference overall.)

I was a bit disappointed that not much happens after the induction, since the Lady had me where She wanted me (and, admittedly, where I also wanted to be!) and could have had Her wicked way with me. Ho hum. Nevertheless, a great induction which I plan to edit to chop off the end part and place before files from other tists. I'm hoping the chane of voice won't be a trance breaker, since It'll be expected.

As I mentioned earlier (or I think I did) I've been doing audio production work for several decades so yeah, the version I shared is the cleaned up one. The actual untouched original one had background noise, cars passing by (you could hear 'em plainly) and some other glitches which I worked out with a few editing runs and then boosted the treble a bit and yes I realize it sounds harsh now, I "fixed" that file nearly a decade ago and my high frequency hearing has taken a hit because of my age and my hobby of working with audio so, I apologize for that aspect. In order for me to hear the high end "properly" I end up giving things a bit too much of the high end so, that's that.

The idea for the file in her own words was and still is to introduce someone to her style and voice which remains a constant to this day: laid back, relaxed, nothing severely dominant, just a calm relaxing experience overall.

Sadly what the overwhelming majority out there claim they want is pretty much everything she's not (and I don't mean sad for her, I mean sad that people just go way past limits of most any kinds constantly) and so she's not on most people's radar.

Luckily as someone that's interested in the more vanilla sessions I happen to be one of those that finds her style pretty much exactly what I always wanted. She's also an accomplished hypnoerotic story writer with stuff published at the EMCSA (look it up if you don't know the acronym) using the nicknames Crystallis (crystallis42 at the EMCSA) and of course Lady Ru'etha.

As for the part after the induction, yeah, I suppose there's a lacking there, and I had thought about extending it and even remixing the file to place suggestions back into that area to deepen things but in the long run I realized it's best left to be the way it was intended (save for the cleanup work I did). Aside from that, the noise reduction and some parametric EQ work, the file is as originally meant to be conveyed.

Still my fave file ever, though. ;)

Been there, done that, edited a few of their files for them, just not quite my cup of tea.
