Definitely a must-read. I'd also recommend the works of Richard Bandler on NLP.

Also–practice, practice, practice! Personally I started with pre-made hypnosis scripts I found online, and improved from there.

I'd recommend recording yourself doing a script. It's a good method for starting out insofar as it helps you develop a "hypnotist voice", as well as familiarizing you with phrasing, etc.
