If you look at the picture, my account stats are pretty horrible. Back when I made that account I wasn't able to upload so I leeched hard and grabbed what I could while the account worked. I've taken some steps towards anonymity and have been back to sharing with the community.

I was wondering if the generous stranger who wanted to help me in the past is still out there or if anyone else can help me fix this account.

If you don't want to upload to keep your ratio in check you can have a look at the request section, there are some pretty big bounties offered for some hypno files.

As far as I know, registration has been completely closed for quite some time. There was talk a while ago that registration would open back up but I haven't heard anything more about that.

tbh, this is my first private tracker … what is the best way to maintain a good ratio while only being into niche content? When I am not getting enough uploading credits off hypno content should I just download and seed some more popular content? Any advice and information is welcome, thanks.

I'm not an expert but my ratio is always between 50 and 100.

Remember you get credits for having torrents seeding, even if no-one is downloading them. If you have 300 torrents seeding, big or small, you're earning 100 credits/hr; 2,400 credits per day; 16,000 credits/week.

You can 'buy down' your ratio at a cost of -10 gb/6,000 credits. This means if you were seeding 300 tiny torrents, you'd be able to buy your ratio current ratio down to 1:1 in less than two weeks.

One really simple thing to do is download a bunch of small freeleech torrents (PDFs, say), and leave them seeding all day. Not a panacea, but it will help.

I got served papers accusing me of 10 counts of copyright infringement stating that I "could be liable for up to $150,000 per infringement in civil penalties"

It's really just bullshit copyright trolling and nothing will happen legally if you just ignore the papers. But you can get in trouble with your ISP (internet service provider; the one who provides you internet. ie: Comcast, AT&T) or have your internet disconnected if you get too many.
