I'm still open to ideas on what to do about the dick pics. It seems there are enough of you out there that don't like the dick pics. If we can get a consensus I can act on it. I'm against banning or censoring as a rule, but we could institute a temporary rule requiring spoilers for dick pics.

People whinging about the quality of posts and demanding a clean-up, I'm open to ideas.

Yeah, its getting a bit out of hand with the dick pics. I appreciate thread derailment as much as the next guy, but this is getting to be too much.

It's just one guy spamming dick/gay pics; as you so eloquently put it - gay gandu.

How about, as a rule, we force spoilers for dick or gay pics only…everything else should be non-spoilered? I don't want to ban gay gandu, but I guess if he violates this rule we could ban him.

An alternative is to remove spoilers as you suggested and create a containment thread for gay gandu. The problem with this approach is I don't think gay gandu wants to share dick pics in general, I think he's just being a silly troll/thread derailer.

For now I've spoilered most of his latest posts. I'm open to other suggestions.

I ignored the comments earlier in this thread to make a containment thread because I didn't want to stifle the opportunity to let people occasionally post dick pics when they wanted to. What you're doing borders on spam. This might be "India Random" but I think the spamming is getting out of hand. There was a gore thread a while ago which I didnt touch because I thought it was a one time thing that would eventually die. There was no concentrated attempt to spam the board with gore. If that does happen, I'll step in.

I still believe in a laissez-faire moderation style, and I've only stepped in in this case after even I was getting a bit put off, not to mention the several complaints. It's bit extreme to call my actions censorship. I haven't deleted or banned your posts and images, I simply spoilered them. The announcement at the top makes this clear so they're still available to view and enjoy if you're so inclined. And I only spoilered the ones on the front page, so as to ease the first look of /ib/ when it loads.

Work with me here. I'm trying to be reasonable. I don't understand why you want spoilers in general to be gone. There's no compulsion to use spoilers. Their use is up to each poster. I haven't instituted (yet) any rule that requires any sort of image to be spoilered. I've left it as an option for the discretion of the poster. Don't use it if you dont want to.

I'll stop spoilering all the dick/gay pics if you promise to keep a majority of the pics in a containment thread and only occasionally post them outside the said containment thread.

Edit: Also m80, as the board owner, I can see when you samefag. So please, no sockpuppet complaints or claims of censorship.

In the mod interface every poster has a unique ID assigned to them. It's an alternative to showing the mods the poster's IP. Showing the mod a poster's IP could lead to doxxing shenanigans. I think only the global admin can see IP addresses; so no, I cannot see your IP address.

The IDs assigned are just random hashes. Sort of like the forced IDs that were on halfchan a while back.

I very rarely browse as the board owner, so I don't keep track of who samefags (I mean, why bother, right?)
