Anons from /pone/ have been leveling accusations of past impropriety at the organizers of this cup after succesfully unmasking the participation of one "Rarifag" who is known to have been banned from the 4chan Cup by the commissioner.

Now it is claimed that Cotton, aka CanadaFag, is the same CanadaFag that was banned from the 4chan Cup, and that the organization of this cup may be for the personal aggrandizement of himself and his comrades.

It is the purpose of this thread for CanadaFag, Rarifag, and the other organizers and volunteers behind the 8cc to have a dialogue with the anons of 8chan and refute, corraborate, or otherwise address the concerns of anons at large.

On the flip side of the coin, it is up to the anons putting forth accusations and those with concerns about the motives and characters of the accused to come forward and present evidence and argument. If someone has done something wrong, or does not in your opinion deserve to officiate on behalf of 8chan, you need to speak up and explain why. No reasonable anon should just take your word for it.

If it is found that the accused have rightfully earned our distrust, we must be prepared to pick up the pieces and organize a cup without them; but if it turns out this is just a bunch of politically-motivated drama and that no one has actually done anything wrong, there is no reason to disrupt the cup just because some anons here or on 4chan dislike the people organizing it.

That's my two cents on the matter, court's now in session. Let's get this over with as painlessly as possible.

Honestly, I liked the way the rules were laid out in the /icup/ sticky and wanted to be a part of the fun, because I believed that there were things in motion that could make this a lot of fun.

I put on a new name specifically for the purpose of not causing drama, bringing in stuff from the 4CC that had no business being in the 8CC. We have a good gig going, and I want to see a good show go on.

I don't know or care about any of the 4cc drama except as it may relate to the success of this cup. I don't know any of you or care about you except insofar as you can do a good job running a cup. But a bunch of anons seem to really think you'd suck at your jobs or that you'd create drama, or even manipulate the cup. The burden of proof is on them to convince everyone that you guys don't deserve to run this thing; but at the same time, you guys either need to defend yourselves. I have no idea what's going on and made this thread for all sides to explain themselves.

So somebody, please, start explaining.

I worry about these things too. I figure my course of action will be to keep making shit like kit exports and see what happens. If the dudes organizing this are shit, i figure one of us will try to reoganize this as our own thing. Id try to be more involved but i got a real life suddenly.

For now, i dont know who said what but hope we can all make this shit work And whatever drama there is gets sorted

What happened regarding myself in 4cc is complicated in many ways and some anons in the /pone/ thread portray me as someone I'm truly not. I can share my side if you want to hear it if you message me on Skype, but I don't want to talk about it here because I don't want to cause more dramu crap.

I want to help /icup/ do the best it can and I truly enjoy helping out as a volunteer for /icup/. I do not come here for any personal gain, I come here because I enjoy going on 8chan and I enjoy helping people out and taking part in something fun and generally meaningful to me and to the many anons who frequent /icup/ and all the other boards. What happened before is the past and all I care about now is helping out /icup/ as much as I can and only that. I 100% agree with the rules we've chosen to implement, that everyone is an equal here for one purpose, to make something fun for all anons to enjoy and it's why I'm here too.

There is no other motive I have, what happened before is history to me and I've put it all behind me now. All I care about is helping /icup/ as best I can and I hope that you all can trust my words going forward.

Look, I personally am not accusing anyone of anything, but there are some anons who are. If you're one of them and you're reading this, for Christ's sake, come forward and let us know why you're so unhappy with these gents being in charge of the cup. Otherwise you've only succeeded in generating pointless drama.

Okay well long story short, I had an argument with the halfchan cup commish over their Babby Cups being killed, though he barged into a conversation I was having with others to organize a backup plan for the worst case scenario, and him not caring about them dying in the slightest and he got fed up and banned me. He then labelled me as someone out for "personal gains" and it caused me a lot of grief especially from backlash I got from many anons. However I took my ban the wrong way and unfortunately got more people pissed off at me in the process so I left and haven't been back there since.
I want this drama to end quickly just as much as you do, so know that them saying that I'm in it for personal greed is 100% false. I only care about helping /icup/ now and there is nothing else about me doing this other then for the reasons I stated before. I want to move on with your trust and keep doing my duty to help organize the Cup with you all.

Okay, so let me get this straight:

You got together with others to organize a revival of the Babby Cups, Boris disagreed, you argued, he banned you and told everyone you were being selfish. Then you said some stuff you regret and made everyone hate you.

If what you said is the whole story, I don't see why anyone should care about it. Unfortunately, we can't know the whole story unless the anons who are so butthurt about you being in the cup come here and explain why.

Let's give it a day or two to see if anyone who was so adamant about calling you out earlier cares enough about the cup to go on the witness stand, so to speak. If not, this drama was a huge waste of time.

I should re-iterate for any anons lurking this thread: by injecting doubt over the qualifications of the people organizing the 8cc and not following it up with a clear explanation of exactly why you think they will not be able to adequately perform their duties, you have only succeeded in hurting the cup. Put this issue to rest now, if you have something to say. If the cup - and everyone's good time - is actually in danger of being sabotaged, you only have yourselves to blame if you can't convince everyone of the danger.

Personally I don't give a flying fuck about some 4cc drama unless somebody was proven - not suspected, but proven - to have cheated, manipulated or otherwise broken the rules. But that's just me. If you simply don't like these people, consider giving them a second chance and preparing to launch your own cup as backup if they fuck it up.

Well, apparently nobody actually gives a shit about this and the anons who brought it up don't care enough to actually pursue any real discussion of their issues with the cup organizers. So everyone go home, I guess. Nothing to see here.

CanadaFag, Rarifag and unknown others may have been banned from the 4cc and some anons may still dislike them, but as far as I can see, nothing they have done in the past would disqualify them from continuing to run this cup. They are the only ones right now volunteering their time and energy to put on a good show for the anons of 8chan, so for all their former faggotry, I say we let the show go on. If they fuck it up we can just make one ourselves.

I'm Ved; I do the matchday intro, outro, and promotional video work for the 4CC, and I'm also a member of the 4chan Cup Committee. Anyway, I just woke up to see a few people had linked me over to this thread, but I'll be honest; it's really none of our business what CanadaFag and Rarifag do outside 4chan. However, though we're happy to finally have them out our hair, just because they are not making our lives miserable anymore doesn't mean they should do the same to you. If you're afraid that they'll do a bad job or fuck up somewhere down the road, if you want, we can provide you will all the documentation of the events that led up to their banning; IRC logs, Skype logs, you name it. Conversely, if you want to give them a chance without this information, feel free do so; it's really none of our business what you guys want to do with your own cup.

Hey Ved. Thanks for stopping by. We're only really concerned whether these two and whoever else hopped on the boat with them actually cheated, lied, or did anything else that would be serious enough to count as a defamation of character in court if someone were to accuse them of it without evidence. Therefore, if you have any evidence of them being genuine shitbags, rather than just really annoying, please provide us with any documentation that would prove that. All that we've seen so far is links to 4chan threads that confirm that they were banned, but are scarce on actual details.

As the Ellis Island of *chans, we do believe in second chances here, but we also don't want our cup being run by genuinely dishonorable people. So if you'd be so kind as to give an explanation of why there are anons here saying that they'll definitely ruin the cup, we'd appreciate it. No one else has followed through with their accusations, yet.
