/agdg/ would be better for getting helping developing the game or games in development. Things discussing engines,how to's,code,etc. And just ideas are only in the idea guy general

Unfortunately /agdg/ is overrun with self-important fags who get extremely butthurt and flame anyone who posts an idea on the board, despite it being, you know, amateur games development general. So yeah unless you have a fully finished game then you're better to post here.

That's really conflating the issue. AGDG is clearly full of unfinished games, but in development regardless. It would seem to earn more respect in AGDC requires one to go from merely thinking about game concepts and to actually start making one.

right so I was thinking this could be a spot to flesh and talk about ideas and such. More theory, world building, mechanic creation, and character development. AGDG is more technical and seems like a good place to go when your looking to start production or are already in production. More coding techniques, engine discussion, and language choice,etc.
