 No.182

Hey /ideaguy/s, here's a challenge. Post 20 ideas in 20 minutes. Try and have a sentence explaining what's going on in them.

Hard mode: No repeating ideas already in this thread.

Insane mode: Each idea is a separate genre. I'll do my post below, because I doubt anyone will respond within 20 minutes.

 No.183

>aimy shooty Survival game following Brittish entering Africa

>RTS Covering the invasion of the falklands.

>Evil corporation sim- Grow a corporation, absorb smaller businesses, and prevent your super secret super soldiers, zombie virus, and alien/dinosaur embryos from getting out of control.

>Fight simulator(similar gameplay to the engine from the shenmue series)- In the future political pecking order is determined by yearly martial arts championships.

>Fantasy Xcom knock off- An enemy presence(evil god, demon king, litch) makes itself known. When direct military confrontation proves inadequate your order arises to understand and defeat it.

>Race for your life- Survival game where you are being tracked down by a motor bike gang through post-apocalyptic Florida. You must scavenge fuel, food, and spare parts in order to get to a populated city with law enforcement before the gang catches you.

>Astro city- Set up a colony on the moon, mars, or a random celestial body and expand by investing in building modules and researching new improvements/modules.

>Freelance space team- Fly within the solar system with your ship and crew, taking contracts as they arise(Smuggle, mercenary, detective, and asset protection missions)

>Open-world hostile police-state game- You play as a character that lives just outside a large police state. You can accept or ignore missions that will entangle you in the most recent regime changes.

>WMD quest- Direct investigation teams fighting battles, detecting traps, and seizing facilities in order to locate the enemy's WMD, or play as the enemy with the goal of concealing it and getting it in position to hit a target.

>Airship world sim- 3rd person action game where you can defend fleets of airships or play as a pirate seizing them for their booty. Because the fragile nature of the ships, most combat will be by hand or blade, guns being a high-risk, high-reward option.

Thanks Anon. I'm going to try a second round, although I've got no time limit this time around.

1. American Hunt- Hunting game set in 1700's Michigan. Unlike recreational hunting games, you have to make/find/trade for all of your equipment.

2.Stealth/shooter set in North Korea. Sneak and fight your way to their nuclear weapon to dismantle it before they sell it to Iran. Interrogating or killing Norks is expedient, but will raise security and potentially move the weapon's position.

3.MMORPG with permadeath and servers that can be reset if the world is destroyed by the gods.

4.Brute ball. Futuristic mix of lacrosse and hockey. Each team has a goalie wearing power armor, a quarterback with a jetpack, and the rest of the players have steel rods. Injuries are frequent, fatalities common.

5.RPG party game- Similar to Mario Party, but characters pick attributes at the beginning of the game and perks with each level that effect their performance in mini games.

6.Shark Tank/Dragon's Den video game. You play as one of the Dragons/Sharks and have to figure out whether entrepreneurs have winning ideas. In addition to answering/competing for pitches, you manage a growing set of businesses with your unique connections and resources.

7. Data wars- A puzzle game in which you try to intercept cyber threats CSI hacking style to protect sensitive information and control of strategic targets such as nuclear missiles, dams, and power plants.

8. Indian folklore coop action/adventure. Play as Lava and Kusa fighting ogres and solving puzzles.

9. Space tycoon- Take your private space exploration business from its inaugural 200k kickstarter to a passenger ship, to your own space station. Cooperate with or crush competitors as a new space race begins between the US, Russia, and China.

10.Melee-centric post-apocalyptic shooter. Most remaining firearms are improvised muzzle-loaders, and even those are uncommon.

11. Somali pirate sim. Manage a collection of boats, crew, and weapons in order to avoid coast guard and take hostages from cruise ships and cargo from freighters.

12.DEA sim- plan busts, gain informants, and bend rules(but don't get caught) to bring down large drug dealers.

Twelve is my magic number.

 No.195

>Rape Ape: Arcade game where you rape women and beat up cops

>Kanji Pro: RPG with spell system based on Kanji/Japanese vocabulary

>Plantation Tycoon: Slave management game

>Phone Man: Using only a phone, cause as much chaos as you can, you have a magic phone book with EVERYONE's number

>Dig the World: massive 2d game with a scale-size representation of earth, literally dig to china and the center of the earth

>The Hidden Dick: Public Masturbator Sim

>DrinkThinkInc: MMO based in a massive corporate office with multiple branches, you can do anything including being a janitor or security and dick around and stuff

>MEHJIKK: aimy shooty with both guns and magic, open world, combines Skyrim and Half Life

>Commuwings: In the future, Communism has taken over the world, but nations still fight. All warfare is done through arial combat. Flight/combat sim.

>Dragon: Be a dragon, kill/eat villagers, gather treasure, but doing too much will summon greater and greater heroes to try to defeat you

>Pull and Score: Roguelike dating simulator, every game is randomized

>Slappa Hoe:Pimp sim game with murder mystery elements, must slap hoes that aren't good to you

>Crycraft: Minecraft with triangles

>Greece Simulator: does nothing but costs so much fucking money you need to take a loan out to buy the game

and im outta time

>game where you try to resist harsh psychological conditions like isolation in a snow base + solve a murder case + get panicked people under control + deal with being harassed, thrown in a cell, being lied to, having to logically work peoples' motives out. The upside is you have an AI earpiece buddy to give you an alternate (part scripted, part AI coding) take on things and restore your sanity and provide comedy

>MMO instance based game where you are part of a large, ad hoc army in foreign alien territory (think Starship Troopers or Gears of War) and it's very visceral, very in your face adrenaline rushing shooting/tactical movement like Gears games perfected. You get supply crate drops, no auto restocked ammo on next checkpoint. Everything is tactical and extra gloomy atmosphere when there's no comedy relief/social stuff. Gritty. Then some random players hop on your game at regular US gaming time of day, so it's a relief for a while. Collect credits to buy bigger guns, fight more insane battles with adrenaline payoffs (traps, explosives, team lobby). Cash shop based (premium non vanity items suited for hardcore playstyle).

>online (MMO but small instances) game where you are assigned 2 other players (kind of like a "life partner" or "family" in the game canon) that you must help with everything, they are your only means of survival. For each different player cell (3 players) the actual cryptic game language text and monster characteristics are unique, so you can't rely on MMO guides. Dungeons, boss fights, global item trading, real world money trading. Cash shop vanity item based.

>game where you just hunt and fish and climb trees and try to survive on your own, a huge island of land (main character is a hermit who swam to the island) you can build anything like place logs in the seawater and build a cabin over the water accessible from the beach. Lots of unique items, wildlife creatures, no names for any item/entity you have to figure it out and write it down in the game journal/notepad thing. You can build boats/rafts too.

>game where you are a rich person, all you have to do in the game is walk around deciding what to buy (unlimited money), do you want a gold throne in your bedroom? Ok it's done. Do you want to buy out a police force? Ok sure. No combat or death risk b/c you have bodyguards of course. So like GTA except nothing interesting to do except buy new things each day and the game will store them.

>game where you are on the road as a biker and you just ride, try to avoid any trouble, but there's always something, idiots, road rage, the heat. You can repair your bike by doing menial labor / odd jobs which don't take much effort. All NPCs ask stupid questions like "why don't you have a house? Isn't it dangerous?", people spit on you like in Witcher 3 but you can't do anything you have to keep your cool. hot weather heat distortion effect on the horizon.

>game where you start out in a typical sci fi engineering/spaceship type base, lots of things to look at and do like crew quarters, hospital, research lab, weapons training area, storage facility etc., very cold slightly off Starship Troopers atmosphere to it all. But then the lights go off and you're completely in the dark, that's the only scripted part. The rest of the game is complete darkness, find your way through the maze. Occasional relief in a lit staircase/walkway (save points). You navigate via screams and echoes and using a small light source. Hand crank torches, batteries, all of these type of items are valuable. You have to feed yourself and go for a shit/piss too. Smells of recently dead people attract insects/roaches for extra disturbing creep factor when things move in the light you shine. Just escape the facility, that's the goal on the mission label on the top right of the screen. Combat, guns, knives, light petrol, make diy flamethrower from aerosol and lighter, etc. Scary like dead space except not scripted, AI walks around and responds to sound and light like zombies. Occasionally meet sane rational NPC who helps for a while then gives up and gets depressed. Gloomy helpless atmosphere.

Oh fuck this is like a psychiatrist thread where you reveal how we think the world is.

>Trading card game like pokemon, except everyone's gone crazy and this is the actual basis of trade in the game world, not work/money, you get better at the monster fighting card game and win a gf, house, anything you want eventually. Most people who trade cards in the game have gone back to owning slaves.

>game where god tells people in the community what to do and they always get into fights over who heard god's true words or who heard them first. Solve squabbles as the village elder or just try not to get your kids and family killed or harassed by crazy people. New game plus: you are god

>game where it's a natural disaster (tsunami usually and it floods everything), floating cars and crazy shit like that, just have to help NPCs ad hoc, AI is coded to be smart and self organizes stuff, priorities etc. like any disaster movie really, but finding a shelter and watching NPCs argue over who is the leader could be fun/comfy

>game where you air lift people to safety (rescue team simulator 2015), that's it, except dangers and you have to manouever the heli correctly, check cables are safe, tight, all of that, avg. mission takes about 15min of real life time, they get more difficult, you get a faster bigger heli each mission.

>game where you are a cop and have to deal with peoples' shit, stressful, can't do anything but calmly be the voice of reason and always do right. Occasionally get a criminal punchbag, feels good to let off some steam. Rinse & repeat with higher stakes = interesting gaming experience.

>multiplayer game where you build anything out of mechanical/engineering cubes, kinda like minecraft. But you have goals for each game session (~12 players) like build something that flies for a whole minute, or something that floats and stays above water to get you to the other side, etc. etc., instance based, no waiting in a lobby, fun and chill and not too vapid, griefers are blocked from the game, but no censoring the chat or voice chat. Mute anyone instantly and a vote system to auto mute and try to kick that person instantly (2 other votes needed). Game sessions are matched up via how many games you actually stayed for (bad losers play with bad losers).

On it, boss.

> Co-op game with split-screen function based around post-apocalyptic world similar to Fallout. Only difference is, the mode of transport is a massive vehicle with multiple stations that need to be manned and kept up for the vehicle to work.. with two players. Good luck

> Sprawling-map RTS based on biological horrors. Each race begins as amoebic parasites which must infest the minds of creatures, becoming more and more intelligent until actually controlling a legitimate army. Takeover = Power = Victory.

> Typing-focused game: Plays like a Japanese story-focused game like the one with the cripple girls that I forget the name of. The hook is that it's also a typinggame, where main char expresses feelings for sought female through books and words. Sappy, overromantic, Japanese, shit's gold.

> Desert RPG where you play as the non-dominant race in a vast, sprawling landscape. Basically, you play as the meerkats and smaller animals while humans and/or human-like creatures trample over you. Now they're weakened by famine or drought to the point where you have the upper hand in terms of survival and sheer population. Could play similar to Diablo.

> DEATH RACE with children at the wheel who have NO CLUE what they're doing. Hilarity ensues.

> Platformer based on being an Ebola virus. Working out the specifics, but you're basically an extremely offensive idea in a very innocent setting.

> Aimyshooty based on the life of Genghis Khan. Whole game is top-down view of the battlefield, various civilizations coming at you with over-the-top bosses.

> RPG Character creation. game in which the first thing you do is get judged for your character. Fantasy setting, you're an immigrant (born under a certain sign to unknown parents etc.) and the tools you're given to survive are based simply by how well the authorities like you. Absolutely racist, Mildly unpredictable, should be fun.

> Soul-searching game, very calm and relax trying to make your way home at sunset. 3D wandering game, very chill.

> RTS with an extemely complicated catch: You have to work together with 8 other players to manufacture a song. Each player is a different instrument, chaos and laughs over mic, overly difficult but family-friendly and a good laugh.
