This board is dedicated to discussing, creating, sharing, critiquing, and shitposting about interactive fiction (IF), which is defined here as a genre of fiction in which the reader has a hand in determining the outcome, like in the Zork series or the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. Sometimes they're also called "text adventures."

I'm strongly considering making this a file board rather than an image board.

Pros:

>board becomes a place to upload IF that isn't subject to strict moderation

>can also upload interpreters, long samples of text, and other things that will help anons help anons

Cons:

>discussion is a little less visible, might seem less important compared to uploads

>I'll have to check for files that aren't actually IF-related so this board doesn't become a share-anything place

True, it's not like I'm going to have a flood of (legitimate) uploads either way.

This would actually be pretty neat. Discussion of specific games could go on the other board with the relevant file uploaded if possible, and general discussion and questions could go here.

I'll probably wait another day or two before I make it, but that's a better idea.
