If I can get it going for at least a bit, then I feel good about myself and inspires me to continue. It's self-perpetuating. It could break when I take it for granted, but every time I get back up it's harder to forget about the benefits.
If you find it hard to begin, you could look at what your current lifestyle has done for you and how much time you've spent doing it already. When you notice how much time has gone in this manner without you noticing, it's frightening, but it could also be used as fuel for launching yourself into new territory.
