>>2384Well it has negative aspects yes it also has positive aspects. It advocates a lot of self improvement and awareness among other things. This might be because of my bias because I actively ignore shitposts and shit threads while contributing only in threads with high quality, this has been declining in the last couple of months though. I could understand how somebody who is not really part of it would get confused among all the bullshit but like everything in life you have to sift through the shit. Especially if you are not white and first approach the board it would seem very, very negative.
There are some very intelligent people on /pol/, when you supplement this with further reading and resources like MIT opencourses in politics. I would argue this is a great place to learn about politics, sometimes even to show you how retarded people are who are interested in politics and current events are from a different narrative. How you could improve yourself for your political ideals.
>>2388Everything you said is accurate, don't let /pol/ consume your life, if you don't have a life basically. In any case I have used /pol/ to improve my English writing and understanding, when you balance your life, you find improvement in the unlikeliest places.
While /pol/ also serves as motivation for people who are moved by ideals bigger than themselves, who don't find meaning in only self serving ideals. It fights against the politically correct narrative. It's rebellion of the soul in a world were not being politically correct has consequences that could effect the way you life.
