hey /improve/ do you guys ever get these moments of absolute clarity and confidence where you're confident you can do anything you set your mind to?

i've had them for a long time but recently something about theses moments have changed where they come even strong and last longer but i'm very morose about it. as if I am bitter that i can't fool myself into believing they will do anything other than pacify my fears for a few minutes and that this is nothing compared to the real work my will is doing behind the scenes getting me to where i've gotten which I'm now more appreciative of.

also, it's something more than that, i don't know what it is exactly but something about these moments drives me into despair even more. i can almost taste the bitterness when i envision me having success. i'm much closer to these dreams than a few years ago as well so it's not as if it's my subconscious being angry that i won't get mine…it's just i dunno, i dunno…. i've lost something, i just don't know what it is.

Maybe it's because in past experiences you've felt like you were about be successful only to fail, and thus you feel bitter when that feeling comes up again because you feel like it's a lie or a false promise.

I think you should view said moments as a pick up or a power up. Yes it doesn't last forever but if you use it well, it could give you an extra boost in your self improvement, helping you get to your destination earlier than if you continued without it.

Whatever goals you have set out to achieve, consider them as a endurance race, as a marathon, not a sprint. Real change takes a long time to achieve anon, especially if you have been wrong for so many years.

Do not give up because you have failed in the past. Failure means something. It means that you have a goal and that you have tried to reach it. That's better than doing nothing. Keep trying! Don't give up anon!
