>>2016Worldliness is mega important. Being well rounded gives you perspective, gives you new ways of thinking to solve problems, and keeps you from stagnating. I remember deciding to do a statistics correspondence highschool course to bring up my average before going to college (at 22). It was incredibly frustrating/boring, I ended up not needing it, and it took forever. It's consistently proven to be one of the most useful courses I've ever taken.
Same thing goes for this English course my school is making me take now. I only need to take it because they did a communication assessment with an essay marking robot (which apparently everyone who had been in highschool the past 2 years knew how to cheat), but it's teaching me how to write business memos and use journals.
The unfamiliar is a challenge, but it can give you an unbelievable edge over your less well rounded peers.
