Hold on a tic, isn't that image now outdated? Considering that it's now recommended to avoid peanut oils and eat things that are whole fat rather than low?

Those are cute but they suck. Hard.
For instance they don't offer any progression as you get better, and are not very balanced for the body.

You sound like you don't know what you are talking about.

So /improve/, while I've always had a fairly strong/bulky build (been doing weightlifting routines recently to help expand on that), fat has always found a way to collect around my belly. Looking at my family I think it's a genetic thing.

Either way, I want to get rid of it. Any tips for getting rid of belly fat specifically?

I don't think you can aim for specific body parts but crunches and cardio is the usual for losing weight. /fit/ says cardio kills gains though but also that you need extra fat and muscles on the belly to lift heavy without snapping so it might be natural and healthy if you're aiming for bear-mode.

not that guy, but those aren't really that good, just basic /fit/ information, you won't reach much without increasing the load

What's the deal with sets, levels and rests?

 No.245

>>240
Sets are a set of repetitions, usually 10 reps to a set. I'm not sure if the rest comes between sets or exercises though. I would guess between sets.

I've lost 46 pounds from 210 down to 164.. I am 5-11… I lost it in groups of 3 years..

anyway my advice
Count calories every day, if you cheat you count them, this will really encourage you not to eat that crap because it sucks to have to break a good trend.

Use the app Myfitness pal.

cutting calories is the only serious way to lose weight.
Don't eat from 9pm to 11am.
cut carbs
Fizzy water is more filling than regular water
Buy a dumbbell and start some basic short workouts you can improve on day after day.
