Hi /improve/, I have a big problem of slightly different nature. You see, I'm fat, and decided that I will start exercising to lose weight. And I did, I started exercising every day, and I've already lost some weight. The problem is, that I've been sick for almost half a year and am still using medication. I can train regularly for three or four days, but after that, I start heavily coughing and get really sick. It doesn't matter what I do, I get sweaty and start coughing uncontrollably the next day. I don't have any problems going back to my routine of working out after that break, but then the sickness comes again. I try to keep a diet and I've already stopped eating sweets and junk food, but I fear that with my appetite, even when eating healthy food, I will still get more fat without exercising. But I can't exercise because of my health problems and weak immunity.

What should I do /improve/? Is there any way for me not to get sick after exercising?

Look dude, being a gym rat is a luxury. If you're swimming or something fine but weights and the like is really just supposed to be icing.

Get your health in order first. That above all is a priority. Be active and all don't get me wrong, but the body needs rest and time to heal. Trust me, it took about 2 years for my fucked up back to get anywhere close to where I was before.

That being said, take care of the low hanging fruit such as what you're doing like cutting out the crap. In fact, there's little else you may be able to do. I'm in the camp now that it's not just a simple matter of calories in calories out but a hormonal issue. Shit's complex.

But yeah, get your health in tip top shape. That above all is the most important.

I've fixed it, it seems that the problem was a lack of some vitamines in my body. Thanks God my aunt is a doctor and got me to do some tests.

If any of you have similar problem, you might wanna check that.

Sounds like you're all set now but I want to mention that if you're worried about your appetite, schedule yourself to only eat at certain times. I do this and I usually only get hungry when it's near meal time and if I get hungry at a random time (generally because I ate too little in the last meal) it quickly goes away if I ignore it.
