Has anyone worked on becoming independent?I would like some advice. As a college student, I can't seem to find time to work, and I would love to live on my own so I can be closer to my school. What steps should I take to earn my financial independence?

Do volunteer work to get some CV references and experience.

It's something I did a year ago and by using my volunteer manager as a shill I have almost secured a manager position in my current job.
