Read Thus Spoke Zarathustra, religion is a valuable tool but if you just don't have faith then you're going to need to replace it with existing culture. Read the great works, read the low quality trash that's trying to say something deep. Read Orwell and definitely read Huxley. No-one can tell you how to develop faith, it's just something that happens.

When you realise that you're a single cog in a machine that will endure for aeons after you are dead and gone it all becomes so much better. The most significant epiphany of my life came after I realised that all of human history came about through the actions of individuals just like me and that I can contribute in a small way to the future.
