This is kind of a /fit/ and /pol/ cross-post. I am dumping my opinion on noFap and noPorn.

*Semen is an energy substance for the body. Loss of it is basically suicidal, a small loss of health. This loss is acceptable within a lawful marriage as a way of procreation, and secondarily the loss of health is a way of sacrifice in showing one's love for one's spouse. The word "passion" means "to suffer", and hence in passionate sex the man suffers loss of health as a way of showing love, and also sacrifices some health in order to create new life.
*Semen is an energy substance that pervades the body. Loss of it results in headache and weakness in the heart, the heart beats softer and harder. Once can think less and lift less weights, for instance. Hence, this explains why when men lose semen in sex, they're tired and want to sleep. The pain felt in the head and heart shows that semen draws from these resources or that it circulates among them normally. (The hindoo pagans claim that semen is a high concentration of blood substance, akin to like 40 drops of blood. http://www.dlshq.org/download/brahma_nopic.htm Note: I am a Christian and don't endorse hindooism, but do think maybe they have a scientific point that has not been in the mainstream)
*The powers that be have distorted research on sex to suggest that it is always healthy, just like some studies suggest that people should eat pizza and ice cream for health. Sex sells, so they want people to believe they need sex and that it's always healthy. Sex also weakens the population and distracts them from more important issues and intellectual pursuits. (Note that some intellectuals have been bachelors. Why? Because of the retention of semen to fuel brain capacity?)
*Loss of semen requires eating to replenish the minerals and protein and so on that are lost. Current science agrees semen has many beneficial proteins and minerals like zinc, magnesium?, etc.
*Abstaining from sex gives an excess of physical energy which would probably need to be responded to with vegetarianism (eat less meat) and/or fasting (eat less food). The Christian fast is one meal and then two snacks, which, when combined, do not equal the full meal.
*Disorders of lust are also a spiritual problem, so prayer is necessary to overcoming them.
*Disordered lust also creates emotional disorders of depression and anxiety, because of the guilt rightly incurred by indulging in forbidden pleasure which is purposeless. Since sex's purpose is for marriage, masturbation or porn use is inherently purposeless and thus depression, as depression is tied to meaning/purpose. Thus, psychological disorders come from disordered lust.
*These things were known but have probably been actively suppressed. More work is sedentary today and hence people don't realize how loss of semen can be a kind of voluntary castration, which they would realize if they had to do hard manual labor daily?
*Sex can trigger seizures in the epileptic. Hence sex obviously has an impact on the physical body in healthy individuals. What exactly is this impact?

History of Masturbation:

*I hypothesize that porn does not adversely affect the brain, because what's the difference between seeing a spouse naked and porn? So porn doesn't seem in itself to be physically destructive, but the destruction comes from how it draws away from marriages (and spiritually it destroys the soul). In fact, I think probably actual sex is more "addicting" and a "sensual overload" than porn could ever be, though I am technically a virgin and have only dated a few girls.
*Athletes would abstain from sex before competitions in the past. This was a well known idea.
*noFap and noPorn probably actually have negative health impacts as regards stress. Hence, one needs to balance exercise, diet, sleep to reduce stress (take a nap), and otherwise adapt.
*Napoleon Hill, in "Think and Grow Rich", had a chapter on "Sex Transmutation". His basic idea was that a bunch of people don't become successful until age 40 when they stop focusing on sex and start focusing on success. Hence, forgoing sex helps one to focus, both biologically and from the point that you just don't spend time doing things related to sex. The energy that some people use for lots of sex could instead be used for productive pursuits. Again, his theory was quasi-occult and I don't endorse it, but it points to the same truth. As a Christian, I might argue God could supernaturally confer special blessings on those who abstain from worldly lusts.

I think that's all I have? I call b/s on the prevailing support of sex as healthy from my own experience. I don't have all the answers, but I at least want to share my thoughts. At least if people think about alternatives, maybe we can get closer to the truth. It seems like there is a majority of men who have fap and look at porn, but also a majority who don't fully consent to the practice but are more like slaves to it, they don't want to do it. This is not an ideal situation. Sexual freedom is the freedom from this addictive cycle, and/or the freedom to have as many kids as possible.

i'm on a weekday no fap and i'm trying to quit porn. I don't watch it a lot but I'm hoping i can get rid of it all together. I don't fap on the weekdays . i'm trying to do 1 or 2 faps in the weekend max ….

I think it holds some truth into how it drains your energy. I once relapsed my weekly fap and fapped 4 times, and wanted to do a workout… boy was I weak and unmotivated.

Do no fap for 7 days, get testosterone boost on 7th day. At the end of that day, jack off and rinse and repeat this process.

Other than that, unless you're a hardcore porn addict, don't expect a miraculous change. After 7th day, no fap is pointless.
