This is kind of a /fit/ and /pol/ cross-post. I am dumping my opinion on noFap and noPorn.
*Semen is an energy substance for the body. Loss of it is basically suicidal, a small loss of health. This loss is acceptable within a lawful marriage as a way of procreation, and secondarily the loss of health is a way of sacrifice in showing one's love for one's spouse. The word "passion" means "to suffer", and hence in passionate sex the man suffers loss of health as a way of showing love, and also sacrifices some health in order to create new life.
*Semen is an energy substance that pervades the body. Loss of it results in headache and weakness in the heart, the heart beats softer and harder. Once can think less and lift less weights, for instance. Hence, this explains why when men lose semen in sex, they're tired and want to sleep. The pain felt in the head and heart shows that semen draws from these resources or that it circulates among them normally. (The hindoo pagans claim that semen is a high concentration of blood substance, akin to like 40 drops of blood.
http://www.dlshq.org/download/brahma_nopic.htm Note: I am a Christian and don't endorse hindooism, but do think maybe they have a scientific point that has not been in the mainstream)
*The powers that be have distorted research on sex to suggest that it is always healthy, just like some studies suggest that people should eat pizza and ice cream for health. Sex sells, so they want people to believe they need sex and that it's always healthy. Sex also weakens the population and distracts them from more important issues and intellectual pursuits. (Note that some intellectuals have been bachelors. Why? Because of the retention of semen to fuel brain capacity?)
*Loss of semen requires eating to replenish the minerals and protein and so on that are lost. Current science agrees semen has many beneficial proteins and minerals like zinc, magnesium?, etc.
*Abstaining from sex gives an excess of physical energy which would probably need to be responded to with vegetarianism (eat less meat) and/or fasting (eat less food). The Christian fast is one meal and then two snacks, which, when combined, do not equal the full meal.
*Disorders of lust are also a spiritual problem, so prayer is necessary to overcoming them.
*Disordered lust also creates emotional disorders of depression and anxiety, because of the guilt rightly incurred by indulging in forbidden pleasure which is purposeless. Since sex's purpose is for marriage, masturbation or porn use is inherently purposeless and thus depression, as depression is tied to meaning/purpose. Thus, psychological disorders come from disordered lust.
*These things were known but have probably been actively suppressed. More work is sedentary today and hence people don't realize how loss of semen can be a kind of voluntary castration, which they would realize if they had to do hard manual labor daily?
*Sex can trigger seizures in the epileptic. Hence sex obviously has an impact on the physical body in healthy individuals. What exactly is this impact?
