Does anyone have advice or recommend resources on how to improve public speaking?
Also has anyone been to a Toastmasters or equivalent club?
If so, was it worth it?

I knew a girl who went to one and really enjoyed it. She was the type of girl who was very social.
I've heard acting classes are good too.

>>488You've just mentioned the best public speaking resource, Toastmasters.
If you're new to public speaking and are nervous, the people at Toastmaster make it very easy for you. They encourage you and are nice even if your speech is fucking shit or fucking boring. They've all faced the anxiety of public speaking so they will understand.

Observe how normal people speak during normal conversations, one on one or in tiny groups.
Then emulate that when speaking to a crowd. Not only does it make the speech more compelling (personal address always does), but your body language will be just right and you should appear to be comfortable.
Practice gets rid of the anxiety.
