you are me, anon, im thinking the exact same thing because this year i'll go to college and i havent decided yet where to go and what major and other stuff like that

apparently from what i've heard recently, from people that promotes stuff in my school like agent to study overseas or for example one of them are called international education consultant told me from hisindonesian student from aus, business management own experience that the difference between here and there is that if you study here, in indonesia, you only follow what the books says and when the exam comes you wrote what the book says on your exam, even if the book is outdated like, from 90s. im not saying that the book is wrong but that just makes the definition of "study" from learning and understanding to memorizing shit that wont stay in our head for long. he said in most of other advanced country you write what you think of it after doing a lot of reading from other sources, so you actually process something in your brain and it will stay longer rather than just memorizing it. on his first exam he got his paper torn after giving his paper for half an hour for a 2 hours exam, and he wrote exactly like the book because, he was an formerindonesian student. and somehow it's more stressful and less fun to memorize and that's the reason why our education system is falling. the new curriculum for smp and sma or more known as 2013 curriculum is good but it is not ready just yet.

and for living a better future for you and your waifu, getting a job, in our country you'll get maybe a 6 month training before you actually on the job and in aus you'll be working the next day after they accept your proposal on the job. so yea you can tell that ours is more about theory and not realisticmaksud gw lebih ke praktek.

i know im writing a wall of nonsense but this is all from what i heard after several organisationor people that comes to my school and telling us this stuff and the likes, i dont really care if it's bullshit or not but i want to believe, this is a good motivation for me. i think most of it were true though, please do tell me if all of it is bullshit

and majority of parents have a wrong mindset about 'if you get in this college sure you gonna success in life'
