People from socialist cunts. Is socialism(without the nationalism) as terrible as I'm told it is? Am I lucky to be living in a capitalist cunt where I can start my own business literally any time I want to and keep most of my earnings, despite being a vassal state of Israel?

 No.321288

lol, you don't live in a capitalist society. Even China is more capitalist than you. USA is a socialist shithole.

Yeah, I find it weird that Americans hate the term socialism, despite the fact they are a welfare state.

>muh single point of reference

While the US does spend a shitload on wellfare, I'm guessing that the majority of what's covered under social spending in that graph is actually 'Social Security' which is basically just a nationwide pension system. Granted, it's broken and shitty, but it's not the same thing as wellfare proper.

Medicare= free pills for old people

Social security = pensions for old people

The baby boomers fucked the country up.

That being said, what you're seeing in that picture is a breakdown of the Federal budget. If you look at state budgets you get a different picture, varying wildly from state to state. A large amount of school funding, for example, is at a state level.

That can vary, as "capitalism" has several meanings.

But even the hybrid social democratic crony "capitalist" states are better than a full Marxist gommie system. Planned economies are retarded.

Are you implying nationalism makes socialism okay?

I like the idea of /pol/'s nationalism but when I think about living in a country where everyone is a /pol/tard it makes me scared. Even if everyone was white I would be oppressed by rulecuckery.

At one point, I would have agreed with you, but honestly, people, when given the freedom to make any choice, a large percent make the wrong ones. I'm not in favor of a strict police state, but more adherence to codes of conduct on a society-wide level wouldn't be a bad thing.

For healthcare: i get a perscribed box of ksalol, which is our farmacy's version of xanax for 0.5 dollars (30 pills). Living where i do, in a country robbed during "the transition," where you dont get fiscally indepent before at least being 30 and half of young adults are unemployed, its a needed drug. We were at top of the global list of bensedine (diazepam/valium) consumption, shit was recommended and freely recommended and "sold" (read:basically free) like pain pills are uncontrolled now.

Everyone is basically thinking back at the "better times" that were just the same train on rails that crashed where we currently are. Education is free throughout as long as you arent literally sitting on your ass trying to not get paid schollarship. Once you get a diploma, you walk into the unemployed bureau, show your shit, wait, get a job outside your faculty. Be a pessimistic cunt your whole life, get perscribed benzoes or SSRIs. So in our cunt's state, its a nice combo.

It's breddy gud. Sometimes the state is more efficient, like with healthcare, and sometimes it isn't. That's why I'm a centrist.

freedom is best though

 No.323948

Welfare states can kinda work if:

>GDP per capita is already high

>Institutions are sober and solid

>They're structured in such a way that profit can still be had

>Population is cohesive and homogeneous

And even then, they can often lead to crushing debt problems if inefficiently ran, and possibly create some negative side-effects (like devaluing the family structure and making people irresponsible).

Most important, though, is the last point. Germany and Sweden will collapse if they keep importing enrichers.

 No.323962

It's fucking terrible, I never go to the doctor because I'm healthy unless it's something major like I had a tumor one time, non-cancerous, but that was the last time I was at the doctor and I have to pay for unhealthy failures? It's unfair in a bad way, whereas capitalism or something similar is unfair in a good way, it encourages people to strive to be their best, with socialism where everything is given to you there is no incentive to be the best you can be.

P.S. America is already more socialist than a shit load of other countries fam, I hope Trump can fix it.

 No.323966

Trump is a populist, he can solve some problems but ultimately won't stop the cancerous growth of the American State.
