I don't get why people pretend he's some sort of idiotic buffoon. Sure, his public persona looks rash, but one does not gather massive amounts of wealth and political capital by being a retard. He's surely intelligent. And Ben Carson said Trump he's "cerebral" in private. While this is a campaign, I still trust Carson and doubt he'd say a complete lie.

I'm only relutanct about him because his leftist trade policies are very likely to increase costs for Americans, and his approach to the budget is under-emphasized.
