Regarding the Skype Group(s)
The Skype groups are mostly off-topic circlejerks. 95% of the time, they revolve around issues or topics not related to /int/craft, and when they do revolve around /int/craft, it's just an autistic spergfest (pic related).
Keeping that in mind, us hotpockets have decided to completely avoid the Skype chats when it comes to server-related announcements or discussion. In other words, those will be kept strictly on the board or, if we currently have one, the /int/ or /vg/ thread.
This is not a statement against the community, but we find that the skype chats drain activity from the server by making threads and our board less relevant.
tl;dr: administration won't post important shit on skype anymore, use the board instead. Also make threads on /int/
General policy of the board's administration
I felt like some kind of clarification thread regarding the non existing rule set of the board is quite necessary. Before someone, after being banned, complains that "there is no rules!".
So generally the administration of this board encourages maximum freedom of speech thus generally posters won't be banned. But of course, despite being quite liberal, we can't allow for some things, so here is the basic list of bannable offenses:
1. NSFW content(occasional posting of NSFW won't be punished but the content will be removed anyway)
2. Spam
3. Advertising, especially intrusive and commercial
4. Doxx
5. Raiding
And obviously breaking the US/international law will result in a ban aswell.
Regarding the board - server relations, we treat the board and the server as separate entites so their administration teams.
Ban on the board doesn't result in a ban on the server and ban on the server doesn't result in a ban on the board.

The lag is atrocious and it makes the server nigh unplayable
I am constantly being teleported backwards and, a quarter of the time, if I break a block it is replaced half a second later and I have to break it again, the same is the case for placing blocks down,
If it's the anti X-Ray that is causing the lag, then please remove it and allow X-Ray, or come up with a better alternative anti X-Ray plugin

We could recycle many things from 11.0 like the airports and guns while retaining things from typical minecraft like horses and builds. like in 11.0 we could change the look of differently dyed leather armor to look like the uniforms of major empires back then (French, British, German, Russian etc.)

14.0 is on the making, the old administration is not partaking.
We are moving to a new server, which also means a new IP, which also means we're currently setting up the server from scratch. Plugins are being worked on as I type. The people we have to thank for their effort in the setup are Lemonshot, Luna, and Zyklon Ben
The admin team will most likely be made of other people, but this is for a later discussion, eventually
About the server itself: it is in great lines going back to a more traditional setup, with a non-set time period, a general BC, Ancient era (no not fucking cavemen you retarded apes, more in the lines of Assyria to Rome), the map will be a crop of 11.0 world map, only the eastern hemisphere (Europe+Asia+Africa if I really need to specify this to you uncultured swines).
A conservative ETA is 2 weeks from now, but it is extremely likely this will take a lot less.

I realize we already do have a sort of feedback thread up, but it seems fairly unorganized.
In any case, after 10 iterations of /int/craft, with the 11th iteration currently running, it is about time we have an organized thread for server feedback. Try to structure your thoughts a bit, and ask yourself the following questions (with your own thoughts on other topics being more than welcome):
>What do I expect when I hear /int/craft?
>Regarding the plugins, were they a good choice? Did I prefer towny or factions, or do I know of any viable alternatives?
>What time period did I have the most fun it? What time period that has not yet been covered would be nice to explore and play in?
>What's more important? Geopolitical role play, building aesthetic towns, trade, warfare?
>How has this server changed over the course of 11 iterations? Which changes did I like, which did I dislike, which made me so butthurt that I thought about quitting the server?

Progress Report
So basically /int/craft's mechanisms are done and ready for beta testing. We're going to do a 3 day beta to work out kinks with our configurations and economic decisions and to observe player behavior.
Right now we're waiting on chien to restart the server, as iptables got fucked again and the only way to stop the server from dropping all sent packets is a reboot.
This reboot is in the hands of chien, who is the only user with server panel access at the moment. It's a trivial problem to fix with a bottleneck of our host's availability, basically.
The beta will start immediately when chien gets back to us. I thank you all for your patience.

The serb is kill. Tried to contact the admins, they blocked me. Others are telling me they said that they have "given up". So now that we know the server is dead, let's talk about the shitty staff.
First, they cancel an already functioning (maybe not the best) iteration, and replace it with… Pepecraft. The population of course dropped rapidly as it was incredibly boring. They said it was to tie us over until the next iteration. Of course that "next iteration" never came, or will come.
Fast forward to now, /intcraft/ is over. They haven't even communicated with us. They're just leaving without any notice.

The Big Jewish Version 12 Economy Discussion
Alright, so it's time we had a proper discussion on how Factions is going to affect gameplay. There's a lot of big changes that are happening this iteration, but the biggest one may be the implementation and use of the Essentials economy plugin, which has gone unused in previous iterations but will become a primary facilitator of transactions in Factions and ChestShop.
We have a basic economic setup on PepeCraft that while grossly imbalanced, should serve to familiarize the players and staff with the new system.
The current means of making money is through selling items to the server for currency. The worth of items to the server is configurable. Currency is used to maintain factions and buy plots, as well as for exchanging items sold via ChestShops in marketplaces and for paying officers should your faction chose to implement a salary.
Currency will also be used as a means of paying for certain, faction decisions that will be possible in the next iteration.
The talk we have to have now is what is valuable, and what value it will have. The primary attribute of items that can be sold to the server will basically entail them being finite and uncommon. This will preclude the sale of dirt or renewables like wood.
So, I leave this discussion to you and seek input on the matter:
What is valuable enough to use in purchasing currency?
What makes the item valuable? Is it scarce? Is it used in important recipes?
What should the currency value be of the items you mentioned?
What should the formation of a Faction cost at the outset?
What should plots purchased by a faction cost?
What should Factions pay in upkeep?
How else can currency be implemented usefully?

we are at that time at the month when the serb is krill. As it seems that we are in the vicious cycle of memes i thought this would be a nice breath of fresh air:
I'd be interesting to try a server without factions or towny and use this. Instead of having nations and towns mandated by a dedicated system it would just be a mixture of social communication and good leadership. Land wouldn't be a number of claims but how big the towns influence is on its neighbors. I'd be a sight to see towns functioning without being constrained to towny.
Also maybe premium only? To keep the shitters out?
Dark Ages? To go off the lack of formal towns of nations without the plugin
Maybe encourage more rp? Encourage rp skins (maybe make standard skin a medieval peasant or something)

Resource pack has been updated.
Changelog:
- Added Stoeger Coach Gun, 12 Gauge double-barreled break-action shotgun. It has more spread than regular shogun and carries only 2 rounds at a time, but deals more damage for balance.
- Added S&W Model 10 revolver, uses .38 Special ammunition. Carries 6 rounds, has slower reload speed and slower shot rate than Beretta M9, but it deals much more damage.
- Fixed resource pack download problem related to HTTPS transition
New resource pack will be downloaded automatically upon joining the server.
New weapons have reused sounds assets, but maybe I'll make dedicated sounds if I find more time in upcoming days.

I hope everyone has learned a valuable lesson about pirate-friendly servers. If you wanted to do this shit, you should have had whitelists from the start.
Anyone that wanted to join up could just post in a thread to register their account and abusing alts would take considerably longer.
It wouldn't fully stop the kind of shit you usually see, but at least the spammer would never do his thing.
I also hope int has learned with this iteraction what happens when you pander to lowest common denominators and "ebin memeraiders".
Anyone too dumb to install forge on his own or just unzip a file in his minecraft folder should never be accepted on the same server as anyone else. Allowing him to play is inviting trouble.
Instead of shitty plugins that backfire often and can be easily exploited, you should get proper mods that add content to the whole world. There's bound to be better stuff than Towny that at least doesn't allow for 145345/1 towns.
I'd say the kind of people playing to "win" the game should just be banned and stay banned but in it's pursuit to increase the playerbase, this server is gonna pander to them too, like a cheap whore sucking anything for a living.
If you wanted to be different from Civcraft, you could have done so by not being about abusing alts and plugins like they do there.
I joined this iteraction expecting some fun town building and wars with other people every now and then. Instead what I got was "who can abuse Towny the most", lag and "your music discs are guns now".

I'd rather not return to ancient times as we have these cool new guns and such that i know mons put a decent amount of time into, and every past iteration has been largely in ancient times. I had an idea which was basically cold war RP. A few guns would need to be replaced but most of the plug in could remain the same and the cold war era has some neat possibilities.

Explain to me the lack of mods and the half-assed plugins you guys are using for this server.
Specifically, if you wanted to add guns, why aren't you guys using Flan's Mod that essentialy gives you not only guns that you can craft in a block with the right price, it also gives you modifications for them and you can even tweak their cost at will? As wel as even having vehicles if that's your thing.
If you are going for the whole "simulating societies" why isn't Ancient Warfare included, when a huge part of that mod is automating the production and defense of a town with workers that carry stuff around, set up automated shops to sell stuff and defend the town from intruders?
If every player commanded 5 soldiers from that mod, a town with 5 players could boast an army of 25 units.
If you are going for the PvP and even want features that compliment it well, why isn't Thaumcraft or Witchery part of the server?
If you are going for comtemporany technology for this iteraction, why isn't Mekanism being added? Or computer craft? Or pneumaticraft? or Minefactory? Or forestry? Or even go full pleb and use IC2? Even things like SecurityCraft and ComputerCraft would help, no?
And even again, if the point of this server is the pseudo PvP with faction wars, why isn't Galactic craft considered, when it even features a space race? Doesn't poland want to get there faster this time around?

So what exactly happend with the US? From what I gathered the President ejected all the cities from the country and decided to be a nigger? When the hell are the admins going to cock slap people and fix this?

First, the basics for newfriends:
- To conquer other towns, king of your nation must enemy the nation that target town is a part of.
- If enemy town has at least 2 players online, their chunks can be conquered.
- You put a oak fence on the border block of enemy town. War flag is created and you need to wait 4 minutes in order to win it.
- If enemy fails to remove either the fence or the wool block on top of it, the chunk is conquered
- It is illegal for defenders to leave the game while a war flag was placed. If that makes further siege impossible (less than 2 online players in a town), all players will be notified of that fact, and town will be disbanded by an admin.
Now, the details:
- No, the instant conquer feature is not in place. We decided to remove it after we realized that people have their defences already designed under conditions we already had. Also, with automatic inactivity kick and very quantized progression it can lead to disaster and chaos.
- Homechunk/spawnpoint moving during siege is allowed, however in our Towny you are allowed to do so only once per 12 hours.
- Forward bases are not allowed.
- One more thing - If you can't hurt someone, double check alliances for your nation - friendly fire is off, you can't hurt allies, but they still can hurt you if the alliance is not mutual

Resource pack update
New version of /int/craft modern resource pack just went live on /int/craft server.
It weights around 36 MB (compared to earlier 21MB).
Most of it is music - we now have 12 discs packed with 84 minutes of tracks.
Changelog:
- Added new weapons: L85A2 and TAR-21
- Added 5 missing music discs - 31 minutes of music
- Added new songs to 2 of existing music discs - 9 additional minutes
- Added 2 new gunfire sound sequences
- Changed leather armor appearance for better dye color differentiation
- Fixed bugged aliasing in FAMAS and Mk 48 for better first-person appearance
- Repositioned and rescaled some first and third-person gun models
- Silenced all arrow hit sounds so they won't annoy when sitting on stairs
- Added gas grenade texture for futureproofing
You don't need to do anything, just join the server and it will be downloaded automatically for you.
If you're using Minecraft client 1.8.7 or newer and you don't use newest official launcher, make sure there's a 'server-resource-packs' directory inside your '.minecraft' directory. Otherwise the client will crash upon downloading it. It's a known Mojang's problem (Ticket ID MCL-3732).
I also increased player tracking range from 96 to 128 blocks, as well as misc entity tracking range, from 32 to 128. Players and bullets should be visible from further distances, but it may impact your client performance. Let me know if you will experience any issues with this.

Railways
Been some discussion about roads on 11.0. Considering that there won't be any cars, I thin we should prized establishing a rail network instead.
Could we agree that railways, being a collaborative project between towns/nations, aren't to be attacked by server players (unless a railway section runs through an area under war, then by all means). I also think this would be more beneficial for RP given the 2015 time period, and that it removes the requirement for warps to be implemented. Let me know what your opinions are.
I'm working on Towny's claim and nation bonuses chunk progression.
Left table and orange chart is standard chunk progression limit for nationless towns dependant on number of residents.
Right table / teal chart is a bonus Town gets from being in nation, dependant on number of citizens the nation has.
The premise here is to discourage small, nationless towns (while still allowing them to play) and encourage forming/joining nations.

I am very happy to introduce you /int/craft 11. It's still in the works right now, and we're not ready for reset just yet, it still needs a couple of days to wrap everything up.
It will be a unique iteration. We consider this as a spin-off iteration, a some kind of experiment to see where we will go with this, so read on.
First of all: The period is year 2015, and the map is full world map. This will be the first modern real-world RP iteration in history of /int/craft. Players will take part in creating their real life contemporary nations. It's quite possible that your nation flag on /int/ will represent your country in-game.
Secondly, this will be the first iteration using our custom hand-crafted resource pack, made exclusively for /int/craft, that will be downloaded automatically by vanilla client upon joining the server. It will be full of high quality content, such as gun textures and sounds, paintings, jukebox music and other stuff.

Let's talk about /int/craft
Basically since the very first iteration we are trying to solve the issue of people losing interest in the server. 1.0 from 72/72 constantly at peak hours went to being barely alive. And while in that case it's most likely poor admin management significantly contributed to such loss of playerbase we've experienced very similiar scenario throughout all of the iterations, including the current one - X which was the best executed one of Chien's iterations. And again while I think that generally Chien's administration always lacked transparency, consistency, indendence and neutrality I think it's still not enough to explain such drop in the server's activity every single time. cheeseburgers seem to be just a half-measure - nothing more than boosting a server for week, maybe two, and this boost doesn't even come without serious drawbacks(we actually had people quitting /int/craft because of often cheeseburgers). Since Chien took over, new group of key players emerged and dominated the server, let's call them "Norse"(and I don't mean only Norse in terms of actual in game faction and only those considered Norse by Norse themselves) and they are basically the only ones playing consistently one iteration after another. Is it holding back the server? Maybe or maybe not. On X we had more than enough people for new groups to emerge(even if we include some conspiracy tier shit administration is favoring Norse, that Norse are actively restraining growth of any other potential contenders etc etc), but it didn't really happen.
I have no idea what the real problem is but I think we should talk about it before this iteration dies aswell.
For me personally the issue is the gameplay of Minecraft - I don't really enjoy long building up I'm not really a Minecraft "architect" also I don't enjoy this ridiculous grind for resources and equipment but even aside of that - after you've built and developed your own nation and city, you are left with basically the only one option if you still want to play - to go to war. Imo, poor Minecraft gameplay not offering any diverse opportunities is what is holding us back, atleast partially.
Simple suggestion to reduce general shittery which ultimately memes the server
Ok I'm a newfag, I just joined this iteration but from what I've seen from a lot of discussion about this subject is quickly derailed into shit flinging over old memes and just general faggotry. What this place really needs next iteration to reduce drama and overall cancer is a sticky with all rules concerning every aspect of the server, exceptions to these rules if they exist, and a separate list of rp related rules and guidelines. This way rules aren't memorized and interpreted differently by varying players and I feel a concrete list could cut down a lot of this shit by quite bit.
This isn't my main point but:
I personally feel a cut down in administrative involvement could end a lot of this shit too. Events are OK I guess but anything aside from that and enforcing fail rp shouldn't really exist including gifts and changes to nations. The rule list would help with this because in my 2 months here I've seen a bunch of shit go down as a result of backtracking on decisions about whether something was rp/against the rules or not by administration.

Will you let us craft cobweb (barbed wire) as a defensive measure? If you can't make cobweb make damage it's still fine, just having it as a way to slow enemies is a huge advantage already. Also, if you decide to add them, pls re-texture cobweb. All you have to do is change color from white to gray and you'll have something that's similar to cobweb

Alright family it's obvious the server is dead already, we should seriously start discussing how the next iteration is supposed to be.

However you look at it it's clear the best time period would be somewhere between 500-1200 AD. Even if we were to go with 1000 BC we'd see medieval castles everywhere we go and memewalls 20 blocks high. We might as well go with a time period everyone feels comfortable with.
>Enforcing rules
So far admin have done pretty much nothing to enforce the few rules we have. The rules are there to protect decent players and to punish shitters. As it stands now shitters run free and the decent players are fleeing the server.
If the admin starts enforcing the rules we could go with a BC time period, but then they would have to make sure no one starts making medieval towns to fuck it all up
>Towny/Factions
I've seen a lot of arguments for Factions and a lot of arguments for towny. If we were to go with a BC time period Factions would be the clear choice. Factions would only be a viable choice however if the siege plug-in were to work together with it. Otherwise we'll get 1.0 all over again where the "defenders" would hide within the walls and the attackers would try to get themselves inside the walls using any means possible (often involving bugs or admin help).

Americas only serves to split the playerbase and make the server seem a lot less alive than it actually (hopefully) is. Having Europe, Asia and Africa is absolutely enough for an intcraft server and will stretch out the server population enough as is.

I am the leader of the A-AU, and I formally surrender to Ming/Northmathr.
There is no way for us to fight back. There is not a town among us that is not poor or new or both. We have not had the time nor activity to develop and our size is only fluffed up by half a dozen small towns and groups of inactive players.
We've already lost one of our bigger population centers with little ability to afford resistance. If the norse came down here looking for a good fight they obviously didn't find one. If we had the rest of the year to build up defenses and gear then we might have been able to sit at an equal footing or at least enough to defend ourselves, but that's clearly not possible with war happening now.
If you even have an ounce of honesty in that you RP, you need to accept this surrender. This is an unconditional surrender, so whatever the leaders of Northmathr/Ming decide they want us to do, we are not in a position to decline.
And no, that doesn't mean "our conditions for the surrender is that we slaughter you all ecks dee". The provision is that we still get to exist.
It's also clear that even though the CB for northmathr is questionable at best and nonexistant for ming, as well as the debate of admin/mod support of them being relevant, no one who can do anything about it cares and don't plan to make it fair so we will just surrender.

Trade Area
Been asked for quite a lot, should a small area be set up in a remote place (e.g. Eastern Russia) where players can spawn to via /warp trade. Players can then exchange items and set up booths with PVP off - instead of having to sail for 45mins just to reach your destination and then get killed.

1) Deathballs: Play on a thin platform over a deep pit, with only snowballs as weapon and no gear, and cacti on the walls. The first one who manages to throw the opponent on the pit with the snowballs, causing his death, wins
2) 100 meters on ice: Race other participants on a 100 blocks long track made of ice blocks floating on water and run your way to the winning platform. If 8 or less people sign up this will be done in a single shot, otherwise I'll make up a tournament for this too lads I guess
Wolf Fight: You're thrown into a cage with X wolves and a stone sword. The player to kill the most wolves before dying wins the competition. In case of draws we'd have rematches, maybe with increasing amount of wolves what the fuck do i know

I usually think we shouldn't reset and I don't think we should reset because the playerbase is largely gone. Because we still can advertise and bring the new players in. But we can't do it anymore. I supported reset when it was necessary, when the server was technically broken(3.0) or administration itself was broken and damage was impossible to fix with the iteration still running(6.0) and I support it now.

After the events during the Norse civil war I can say the only problem in the server is the Norse. Idk why your even allowing them to even create "Northmathr" during the 15th century. You even make them admin. For God sake please just do something about it.
