It is important to differentiate between Islam and Islamism. Islam and Christianity are equally violent in theory, and in practice; what separates them is six hundred years of history. Islam came about later as continuation of the message of peace that Jesus and many before him spread; God does not make mistakes, but His message can, has been and will be twisted by people who want to control other people. If you claim that reading the Qurʼan is more likely to drive people into violent behaviour than the Bible, you may need to read your Bible again. It is an established fact that Jesus as a person, as a prophet, was more peaceful than Muhammed; but this is out of circumstances and the reactions of people to the teachings, not an indication of God's "flaws". God does not have flaws. God is perfect. You can say that people make God flawed, but God does not become influenced by people beyond His influence on people. He packages the message of peace in different packages that He gives to people, but that does not mean that the message has changed. The message has been the same since the beginning of time.
Now, people are flawed. Demons also influence people, they're masters at warping the message of peace into a message of war. That is no excuse, and anyone who says it is, is a fool, but you should not blame religion for the mistakes of society. Religion and society do go hand in hand, but not all members of a society are religious; even in the "devout" Islamic countries like Afghanistan or Syria, only half believe in God beyond their morning prayers, same as in Christian countries like the USA or Georgia; Armenia and Saudi Arabia are genuinely more religious countries, but by your logic it would be surprising that they are less prone to involvement in wars lately and, besides the actions of certain governments, have been throughout history.
I know you're going to dispute what I tell you, and simply call me a Muslim shill or whatever, but I don't care. I hope you find the faith you've lost, but I won't pray for you; I don't believe that people are supposed to pray for those who don't want to be prayed for. If you hate God, that's your problem. Don't make it the problem of everyone else by opposing religion as a whole. The vast majority of Muslims do NOT condone or feel sympathetic of Islamists. The impression that tPost too long.
