First time I post here. Not sure why so many people got ass mad over this board, lots of claims of "Hey /intl/ did this" a bit back but no proof, it was like a shitpost had a child with another shitpost and made something beyond shitpost. Bretty gud if you ask me.
Anyway, ITT: Asking for your opinions on different kinds of Art, this is the Full Fathom Five by Jackson Pollock, I paint similarly to him but in a semi-abstract style as opposed to full on abstract expressionism.
Your favorite piece of art? Why? Post pic. Favorite artist?
Pollock inspired me because as a kid, had a lot of rules and stuff. Private Christian school despite a poor family. Just felt good to look at his work. Funny how his work sold higher than any piece in history but people still shit on it, interesting how it can evoke emotion unlike anything else and sell that high when compared to realism. Perhaps the real world fails to evoke such emotion?
