This fucking record mode beeping is ruining my voyeuristic funtimes.
This is in ActiveX mode on Foscams, running IE.
I'm not clicking it, but it keeps starting and it makes this FUCKING TERRIBLE beekeeping noise. Beep, beep, beep. While the green light on the bottom flashes red.
It stops sometimes, then starts again. I can't stop it by clicking record or stop. Once it's on it seems like it is stuck ON. And it regularly loads up an Explorer window to c:\Users\Public\Documents. Ugh.
Is this someone else clicking the button? If so, don't they know it just saves a stream of JPGs, and that they should be capping the stream instead? Can I use iSpy or another such program to get around this?
Also, as an offhand, what do you guys use to cap?

>>266I haven't run into this issue but I've noticed that there are config options in the web UI for "alarms" and other types of notices, usually tied to motion detection. Try going into the config section and disabling those options if they're on. There may also be an option to "record" (which probably means cap .jpg files every N seconds) on motion detection. The web UI seems to have dozens of variations depending on the branding of the cam so might find variations on this theme.
> Also, as an offhand, what do you guys use to cap?I screen cap or use the record feature on my phone's app, which sucks. I'm interested in guidance on desktop and phone video recording if any anons have a good process.

Nice one, thanks guys. I guess I have to log in with push mode, turn off the motion sensor, then go back in with ActiveX mode so I can fuck around.
