Nice, OP. I like it.
Though, using Notepad++ rather than a simple hex editor like frhed … wat?
I streamed on twitch the other day (for a /b/ thread … plugged the board several times too, maybe got some new recruits). Used a dual monitor setup, using Open Broadcaster Software and just screengrabbing the lower 80% of my second monitor, so using a bunch of browser windows. I had to cut off the top of the screen so as not to show IPs. It was a pretty low-quality setup overall, but it got the job done. Twitch account got banned once. Fortunately Twitch accepts 10 minute mail, so just copied the new stream key in and was up and running again 5 minutes later.

Can we have a discussion about cam software here?
I'm using iSpy right now.
Positives:
- Can set to record on many complex types of motion detection. Will display start of recording in the task bar so you don't need to watch the cams if you are waiting to see if something's gonna happen. Pic related. Been waiting for this cutie to wake up for an hour now. It's fucking 12:30pm in Korea. Time for you and your 5 dogs to wake up, gurl. (But at least I can do other shit and won't miss it when she does.)
- Time lapse recording is amazing for scoping out when certain cams are active and when you are most likely to find something interesting.
Negatives:
- On Foscam-type cams the FPS can be pretty damn low. (See below for some info I've found on boosting FPS.)
- Setting it up is a bitch. Finding the right model # that will work is sometimes a chore. But you can also scan for streams. Also, setting up talk mode means you need to put the IP, port and login info in again, and set cam type to Foscam. Kinda stupid. Should auto-enter this.
Here's some copy-pasted tips for improving iSpy FPS on Foscam-style cams. Do other cam programs suffer from low FPS?:
1) You may need to update the firmware and WebUI on cams you really want better FPS on with iSpy: "thought I would share something I just found out. Basically with my 8904 and 8905 and 8918 I was getting really slow frame rates in iSpy, in the vicinity of 5fps max. Recently I updated all my cameras mentioned above to their latest firmware versions ( and WebUI updated as well )"
2) VLC streams give better fps: "a few VLC streams came up for my 8904 and 8905 cameras! I swear to god they were never there before. Completed the wizard and I am now getting 10-13fps, nothing else in my infrastructure has changed."
3) "Apparently the FFMPEG streams are able to give higher frame rates too, worth a shot!"
This is why the engineers say it doesn't work great. Go figure, the guys who made these shitty vulnerable cams are Greek:
"Our engineers installed iSPY to test,it is really 4Fps.
The reason is as this third party software based on the CGI command, using the CGI command to get the audio and video data.
Network processing section using up much CPU source, but for the IE active x,is based on the bottom protocol,so there is no problem with our IE active x to get 15 Fps."

>>458Thanks for the tip re: Twitch… the channel I was using to stream got b& a week or so ago. Someone in /b/ reported it, hur.

>>459Great info, thanks! I was thinking of trying to compile this with mono so I could run it on Linux but it looks like the ActiveX stuff is a deal breaker.
Looking into this one now if any Linuxfags have any guidance:

>>466Looking into ZoneMinder got me inspired so, with a few hours of fucking around, I got it and it's dependencies installed and working. Looks like all of the core features are there… motion detect recording, exporting, etc.
I'm running this on a local web server under Linux but you can run it on Windows with Apache/PHP/MySQL. And they do it for free!

>>459+1 for iSpy. Initial setup was weird (copying VLC files, figuring out urls) but once you get it up and running once it's easy to add more cameras. Can talk through mic, tts, listen, and record easily.
