What is the best English translation of the quar'an?
>inb4 none
I am aware nothing is better than the original but I don't have time to learn Arabic at the present time.

Use quran.com
That way you can see several translations for cross-reference.

You miss a lot by not reading the Quran in Arabic and there are many misunderstandings that can arise (and do arise) from reading it in another language. BUT this does not mean if you don't know arabic you are doomed to never truly understand the Quran, you just have to go the extra mile and understand each verse and the context behind it. There are lots of Qurans that have commentary with them (the more the better) I would suggest getting one of those.
Also this website mentioned here >>11251 is good too because like he said it has multiple translations and it also lets you hover over the Arabic lwords and it highlights what translates into what.

Tafsir of Ibn kathir is based on authentic reports and explains the meaning of each ayat. Understanding the context and meaning of the Quran is the opposite of idiotic.

I think your own poor responses are an example of why we should use tafsir. The Quran is perfect, but we are not. The tafsir uses other ayats from the Quran and reports from the Messenger to clarify and explain the meaning.
Why are you wasting your time hating on a religion you don't even understand?

I am not hating brother. I am a muslim. Also tafsirs creates the opportunity for distorting and exploiting the true message.
What am I supposed to answer if a non-muslim asked me this?

We are talking about a tafsir written over 700 years ago. There is consensus among scholars for centuries that this is one of the best.
I honestly don't know why you think you are Muslim when you continually make statements of disbelief in every thread.

You are also forgetting how much you miss out on with an English translation. You NEED commentary if you don't speak Arabic.

Nothing. We don't worry about what non-Muslims think. Allah will steer who He wills, not us.

Its clear from your other posts on this board you are a non-muslim and are just pretending to be Muslim because you are pathetic and have nothing better to do. We've dealt with posters like you before and are used to it.

Pot calling kettle black. May Allah restore your dead braincells.
We were having nice conversation and you just had to jump in and ruin it! Not nice. I will never forgive you and keep you from entering jannah.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that.

>I will never forgive you
Your forgiveness is neither asked for, nor required, by anyone.
>keep you from entering jannah
That's a power you'll never have.
