Last month, an agreement was put in place that would allow for the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists to be transported from southern Damascus to the Al-Raqqa Government as part of a ceasefire deal to end the hostilities inside of Hajar Al-Aswad, Yarmouk Camp, Al-Qadam, and Taqdam.

The ceasefire agreement included the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham/Free Syrian Army, and ISIS – the only group that is required to vacate this area of southern is ISIS.

One day after buses arrived to transport the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists from southern Damascus to the Al-Raqqa Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has fully moved into the Al-Qadam District as part of three-way ceasefire deal.

The Al-Qadam District is situated at the western flank of the Yarmouk Camp District and it is also located along the imperative Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5 Highway).

With Al-Qadam under their control, they can finally concentrate on the eastern flank of Darayya in the West Ghouta of rural Damascus; this aforementioned city has been contested by the Syrian Arab Army and the Islamist rebels for over 3 and a half years now.

addition to the Syrian Armed Forces being in control of Al-Qadam, the government owned “Syrian Arab News Agency” (SANA) has reported that 500 families are planning to return to this district in southern Damascus.

Despite the good news from Al-Qadam, the situation in Hajar Al-Aswad and Yarmouk Camp District are not going as planned.

The ISIS leadership reportedly refused to leave Yarmouk Camp and Hajar Al-Aswad yesterday – no reason was given; however, rumors have surfaced about the terrorist group’s disapproval over the terms set forth in the ceasefire agreement last month.
