everyone knows they are corrupt, much more so in the case of PA/Fatah, people mostly care about their ideology and actions, I guess people would rather have the corrupt Hamas with its popular ideals (not giving up on the resistance, not giving up land etc etc) than corrupt Fatah with their lack of actions and sucking the Israeli government's dick.
The only overrated one is Arafat, Abbas' popularity is very low, much higher in the case of Khaled but still not as ridiculous as the insane amount of love Arafat has.
