Thanks. The young American guy actually seemed the best of the lot. The old guy who only came across for the girls needed to fuck off.

In France, we have a TV channel consecrated to Japan Culture & Music (and also geek stuff worldwide), Nolife-TV.

Most content is french or japanese with french subtitles. Moreover, we must pay to have catch-up TV. But recently, Toco Toco, a TV show diffused on this channel, made english subtitles (people speak japanese) and put their videos on youtube. They talk about some japanese artists (most of them are young and/or tokyoites) in a 10-15 minutes show.

Here's the last episode : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRNLIJd-uMM

I'm not working for Nolife, for TocoToco staff and no one of these artists are my friend. I just like this tv show and want it to be known worldwide. Moreover, I wonder how such a show is perceived in Japan and other countries.

I watched the episode you linked (and plan to watch the others). It was enjoyable even if it is an infomercial of sorts.
I started the prior episode with the woman on the segway-looking thing but am yet to finish.

Thanks!

(1846 here) I find it infomercial too but tocotoco staff explains off that it's difficult to ask artists to confide intimately because they're neither a famous production box nor famous animator. Artists
accept in exchange for promotion.

It's a pity that only the current season (4th) is translated, there is sixty more episodes and during the first seasons, the interviews were more sincere and less formal.

It's a series about food, not nature.
