In order to learn a language, you need a massive amount of input. And because you're not in a Japanese environment, you've no chance of picking it up via fucking osmosis.

Reading mango and books, and watching anime and other media is the only way you can practically immerse yourself in the language without being there.

And while I've never used it myself, but I've heard some people label everything in their house in Japanese, as a constant, passive reminder.

I've made my phones and other things in Japanese. I wish there was an option to change many of my games to Japanese, but not everything has that option.

I guess I'll have to look into some Chinese cartoons I can stand.

Not sure what your tastes run to, anon, but I've enjoyed the fuck out of reading "Dr. Slump" lately.

It's about a grown man that builds a robot daughter, and there's tonnes of lowbrow humor, but - get this! - it's not shitty moeblob-filled pedo "fanservice".

It's a goofy kid that does goofy kid things.
