人によって異なると思う。ただ、ほとんどの日本人は、ルールを守って礼儀正しい外国人なら、彼らが日本に来るのを歓迎すると思うよ。

I think it depends on the person. I guess most Japanese people would welcome foreigners who come to Japan, as long as they keep the rules and they are not rude.

あと、田舎に住んでいる人々は、君が白人か黒人だと、じろじろと見てくるかもしれない。

Also, it's possible that ones living in rural area look you up and down if you are white or black.

As for the rural folk, if they were to look down on me, would it be mostly due to a failure on my (and others before me) part to follow social customs and rules rather than a distaste for white people in general?

一部の人々は英語が得意じゃないので、その人たちは外国人を避ける傾向があると思う。
