Why is his name not Jehovah?
The "J" (Jay) Letter in the English alphabet is the reason. The hebrew language does not have a "Jay" sound/letter, but its pronounced like the english letter Y"/"I".
In most other languages like german you don't pronounce the "J" as (Jay) but correct as "Y"/"I". The "J" was not native to the english language but developed in the 17th century, the name Jehovah was introduced when the "J" was still pronounced similar to "I", but how languages do change over time the "I" sound of the "J" turned into its modern pronunciation of "Jay", so out of Yehovah became Jehovah.
So come and visit >>>/yehovah/
