Posts ending in 「0」 and 「9」 become Ripple users while posts ending in 「1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7」 and 「8」 become Stand users. Posts ending in 「4」 do not survive the Arrow. 「Doubles」 are also Vampires. 「Triples」 have one the Corpse parts in their possession. (0 → Skull, 1 → Heart, 2 → Left Arm, 3 → Right Arm, 4 → Eyes, 5 → Ears, 6 → Spine, 7 → Ribcage, 8 → Left leg, 9 → Right Leg).
>1 → Close-Range Stand
These Stands are known for being able to inflict powerful attacks or deal close-range effects, with destructive power or speed normally ranking between A-C. However, they are only able to move small distances from their users and/or have short-range attacks or effect radius. These Stands will generally follow their user's will.
>2 → Long-Range Stand
These Stands also follow their user's will and are capable of long-range movement. These Stands tend to have ranged attacks and/or attack from far distances between them and their users, which is why most Stands of this type are typically ranked A in range. On the other hand, they are generally unable to defend themselves in close-quarters combat.
>3 - Bounded Stand
Some Stands may be bounded to tangible objects such as vehicles or even sand instead of showing their true form. Said Stands, if bound to fluid objects, may even be intangible. These Stands can be used as equipment and can be seen by ordinary humans. Although most of them vary in terms of statistics, they commonly have medium-to-no development potential due to these Stands only being able to perform their set abilities.
>5 - Ability Stand
These Stands grant their users a superhuman ability of their own. The Stand user uses the ability without the Stand itself appearing corporeally, as the Stand is bound to the user's own body. Ability stands typically rank A in durability, because they do not take damage themselves and can only deactivate if their users are incapacitated.
>6 - Automated Stand
Automated Stands are Stands that act on their own. They follow a simple objective without directly obeying orders from their original users, though they can be preset to follow orders before they are activated. Said users do not have to be present for the Stands to do anything, as these Stands are known for having a range that is close to infinite. Also, due to the Stand being automated, if the Stand takes any damage, the user will not receive any damage at all (in most cases).
>7 - Combined Stands
Combined Stands refer to Stands that have merged their abilities with other Stand abilities and as such, result in a Stand which is able to use a mix of different abilities. These Stands are the least frequent type of Stand to appear in the Jojo universe.
>8 - Evolving/Multiple Forms Stand
A select number of Stands have the inherent ability to evolve; becoming stronger and allowing their user to use the Stand in different forms with new/different powers. Unlike "Combined Stands", they are not necessarily able to use all their different abilities at once and may only use certain abilities per form.
If a Vampire post follows after a Ripple user's post, the Vampire dies. Stand users are attracted to each other so Stand users with the same last number must fight, the winner is the poster with the highest last number in the time of their post [(Sun) 22:36:44]. Corpse parts owners must fight each other, the winner is the poster with the highest penultimate number in the time of their post [(Fri) 15:16:20]. The winner also gets to keep the loser's Corpse part.

I thought Pucci's final stand couldn't affect living organisms: why the fuck are they all dead and now reborn? Why are Emporio and Pucci the only ones who survived the original timeline? If the stand doesn't affect the time of living organisms why isn't every living organism from the old universe now alive in this new universe? Why would creating this new universe make humanity omniscient? If Pucci already knew everything that was going to happen because of what the fuck ever why didn't he know Emporio had Weather Report's CD? Shouldn't Weather Report's CD have faded away since White Snake doesn't exist anymore? When a stand user is killed, aren't the effects of their stands undone? So why isn't the universe set back to normal? It seems like SOMETHING gets undone but all that really happens is that yet ANOTHER universe is created, which is somehow entirely separate from either the original universe and Pucci's universe? Is this the same universe that part VII takes place in? Because if that's the case I don't see why Jolyne would exist: Dio apparently never existed in this universe, only Diego, but since it was Dio's actions that basically caused the entirety of the Joestar bloodline to turn out how it did why should Jotaro and Jolyne have been born in the new timeline?

I would like to discuss what are the worsts finals in jjba for u people.
The Part 3 OVA
You know, the OVA they made in the 90s was considerably good from an animation standpoint, specifically the older half based on the later parts of Stardust Crusaders.
The dark colors and rough-edges style actually compliments JoJo well. Then again, that was back when anime was still for the most part traditionally animated. I love the new anime to bits and pieces and think it's damn faithful to the manga but at the same time it's got just the slightest artificiality to it.
Now, I could make minor complaints about design and color choices but for all its faults, I think the Part 3 OVA was at least nice to look at.
JoJo references and themes you missed the first time
Watching the anime version I can't help but notice certain references I missed when I read the manga.Like Jotaro's name being a reference to the pronounciation of Tarot, or that all the main characters aside from Jotaro have Stands that correspond to the five elements in chinese philosophy(Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire).
Also, Joseph gets his wallet stolen in his first and last appearance in the series.

Advice on Part 5
So after being an anime only fag I decided to start reading the Manga. I finished Part 4 and loved it and I've started Part 5. The issue is I've run out of the new translations/scans and have started reading the new ones. I've heard that the old scans are pretty bad and remove alot of the personality of the characters so I was wondering if it would be better to skip it for now and wait for the better translations or are the Old Translations good enough that I shouldn't need to skip? Bastet Part 2's next week.

Official "Problems With Part VII" Thread
So I just finished Steel Ball Run. It was okay overall but it's easily my least favorite chapter. There's just so many things that were wrong with it.A lot, and I mean A LOT of squandered character potential. Poccolocco was a big offender in this case. The whole first part of the race focuses on him and how he develops his stand, then he does almost nothing for the entirety of the story. But the absolute worst case overall was with Sandman. The story even fucking starts by introducing his character and then shows him kicking ass in the race, then has him in the background for most of the other parts up until he's revealed to be a bad guy and is promptly killed off. What the fuck man I was really invested in his character.
I wanted to see Valentine obtain the completed corpse and then achieve a third and final form like what happened with Pucci, so that Johnny would have actually had to get creative with INFINITE NAIL WORKS in order to beat him. No dice. Is it just me, or have villain defeats for this series been getting progressively worse? Kars' defeat was fucking magnificent. Dio's defeat was good. Kira's defeat was meh. Diavolo's defeat was bad. Pucci's defeat was just fucking shit. I guess the best I can say about Valentine's demise is that it wasn't as bad as Pucci's.
The whole Jesus thing is taken for granted and not really explained aside from "Jesus came to Murrika, now his corpse is here and it has INCREDIBLE POWER!" Overall it really seemed like a plot device. I did like Valentine's motive for wanting it, though. The end goal of "Rebuild Jesus so I can use his power to make America the GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH at the direct expense of those fucking ruskies and orients" was a lot better than Pucci's "Follow these instructions to obtain the ultimate stand that will destroy the universe and recreate it into one where everyone knows exactly what's going to happen to them, thus creating a perfect existence in which everything is really, really, REALLY fucking boring."
With the exceptions of Dirty Deeds, Scary Monsters and In A Silent Way, the stands in this chapter were crap. I'm guessing because nobody in this chapter got their powers from the arrows is why so few of them had full-fledged humanoid stands, but having so few humanoid stands in this story after having almost exclusively humanoid stands in the previous ones really made things feel like they were watered down. Also, Tusk was exceptionally lame. Acts 3 and 4 had pretty cool powers, but they were seldom used and instead most of the story is just Acts 1 and 2.
The epilogue mentions the dumb kid Gyro was trying to save getting pardoned, then mentions him dying anyway. Why? Why the fuck would you put that in, Araki? What was the point?
Gyro was the main character. Fuck Johnny.

The ending of Phantom Blood is one of the saddest parts of the entire series for me. Damn Dio.

I found this and I was curious and puzzled by this. I like how Araki thinks and how he learns through his drawings in the same way someone achieves zen by being with their own thoughts for some time. “I have a feeling that’s not the right action,” is an interesting thought, but at the same time, what would be? What is right and what’s wrong? If your goal is to save someone, let me say my mother for instance, and you can save her by destroying a guy you hate, let me say my father again, as I have made apparent that I dislike him greatly, would you let your feelings get in the way? Or maybe it is your feelings that would allow you to choose to save someone you love. I feel like the only justice and evil in this world is you yourself; if you believe someone is evil, then they are evil, and if they are just in your eyes, then that is also how it is. However, in the same way that a mirror won’t show the same thing to two different people standing at different locations, or how refraction affects how you see things under and over water, it stands to reason that this evil is not true evil because it’s just an opinion from what angle you face the mirror or your place in the water. I know I’m grasping at straws a bit from this idea, but I thought of this in such a way that puzzled me. It doesn’t matter what action you take is right or wrong, because the right action might be wrong when seen from this mirror of perception. I think true good doesn’t do something for a reason of good or bad, but simply because they choose it with their whole self and are content with the results of the action.

So I got a few of my friends into the anime (I know, but they had to start somewhere and I wasn't going to exclusively discuss JoJo with you autists), but now one of them has finished everything that's been released so far, another's almost caught up, and two more are starting on part 3. How can I make reading the manga appealing to otherwise relatively normal fags who wouldn't usually go out of their way to read source material? I worry that I may be creating anime-only fags
Okay, so I need some closure on this

I'm only having a problem with one theory that if diavolo was shot in the time erase, he would be able to remove the injury from time, which doesn't correlate with the one idea that the erased time still happened. But the other idea, that the erased time is where nothing happened and things go on as if that erased time did not happen at all, doesn't correlate with what happened in the manga (everyone on the boat still went on, and the cats walked across the boat still, so everything skipped ahead, but things could move during the erase, which means that only memories of the events are failed to be retained.)

Dio could freeze time, but epitaph would be able to determine when dio does a freeze. However, I don't know if it would be able to see into the frozen time, since it happens faster than instantly, on top of the fact that dio would probably finish off diavolo before he could wrap his head around time freezing.
Discuss who would probably have a better chance at winning in the fight, given all that you know about the stands and/or just with this summary.
Knowing how dio only lost because of jotaro's asspull even after all of dio's fucking around and diavolo being overpowered to shit to the point where gio needed an even bigger asspull, I think that these stands are pretty even in power. I think dio might lose just because his character is written as an asshole who draws things out, but he wasted no time slapping people's shit if they weren't muh joestar blud, so maybe he would fuck up diavolo. I don't really care about being spoiled, but I'm only up to volume 11 of 17 in Vento Aureo, nearly right after the first explanation of KC, so my knowledge on the subject might be a bit weak
