I thought the same when first reading it, but in retrospect, it was actually pretty good, I honestly think the only reason people don't like it is because of Giorno, who was pretty much asspull the character, not really fleshed out, blander than Jotaro, and was just all around a pretty bad Jojo; all the other characters, pacing, areas, etc was awesome, and you can argue that the plot went off rails, but I think this stems again to Giorno, and Araki wanting him to be the center of attention
