He basically was. It also would have been better if Giorno wasn't the weakest part of the group. Parts of him get lost in the shitty translation but there's not much there anyway.

Giorno wasn't the weakest part of the group, he just didn't do shit until he figured out how to win, letting the other members of the gang do the work until he swoops in with a plan, he isn't like other JoJo's and that's what makes him amazing, he really is Dio's son.

Also terrible translation bogs down his personality
