Yeah if you don't hear the drive doing anything but the lights are on, sounds like it's frozen in sleep mode. If the hard reset works try to change the settings to even something that the screen never goes off, even when you close it. :)

Just finished the final Metro episode, and it brought back so many amazing memories. Great game. It was interesting to hear the Dark Ones act so aggressive and defensive during the final hallucination prior to the missile launch, as I've only ever got the good ending which features them acting more passive and reconciliatory, IIRC.
Essentially, the Dark Ones are a peaceful people and want to coexist with humans, however their attempts to communicate with them have the nasty side effect of completely fucking up the minds of the humans in question. Consequently, they're perceived to be hostile, unfortunately. Artyom has a gift wherein he's able to communicate with them without destroying his mind, so the Dark Ones attempt to reconcile with humans through him. Of course, as you received the bad ending, Artyom ignored/didn't understand their message, and destroyed their home regardless. You're ruthless, GaB. :P
Anyway, great LP! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and I can't wait to see what's coming tomorrow!

The Metro game's strong points are they're top notch atmosphere and immersion, otherwise like you said it's a rather basic linear shooter.
If you did like the world's story and it's atmosphere though, I can't help but repeat myself in recommending the book(s)
It's also a lot better at building up the story, giving weight to Artyom's actions and how dangerous the world is, explaining stuff and giving proper payoff as opposed to how the game makes you feel a bit like some force of nature and kind of just abruptly ends and leaves you wondering what it's further implications of it's underlying story are supposed to be.

Alright, so I'm trying to download a couple of them at the moment, but there's only two that are going to be done any time soon (so I've stopped the others). The one that'll be done soonest is Ghostbusters in about 40 minutes, Total Recall is jumping around a lot and has very few seeders but it's somewhere in the 2-4 hour mark.

Both Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain are going to present something of a headache for you, as they're not really suited to the format of your LPs/channel. They both contain a lot of sidequests, and it's necessary to almost grind in order to improve and expand Mother Base.
I think it's possible to relatively easily complete both games through solely beating main ops, but you'll miss out on a lot of content unfortunately. Stef beat a lot of the side ops off-camera though, so perhaps that's something you'll consider?

It looks like it's going to fail at being Ghostbusters. I prefer deadpan comedies where the characters take the situation seriously and the makers of the movie take it seriously rather than just having fun on the set. I dislike goofy comedies about goofy people being goofy while ignoring the plot. The original Ghostbusters was the former, a mix of action, horror and comedy. This looks like the latter to me.

New MMTV episode, lads. It's a good and really interesting video this week. Personally, I love anything related to history and archaeology. There are a number of ancient Roman ruins in the city that's closest to my town, including a remarkably well-preserved mosaic. As we all know, GaB's been feeling down on herself lately. I know a lot of us have the same problem at times, what can you guys suggest to GaB that usually helps yourself when you're feeling down?
For me, I've noticed that I usually start to be hard on myself when I haven't left the house in a while. There's something about sitting around not doing anything new that gets to me. So I suggest to GaB that she tries to get out a little more if possible, as I'm sure making her let's plays has her stuck in her house quite a bit. Even going out of the house just to buy a coffee usually makes me feel much better by the end of the day.

When I'm feeling down I do like to listen to melancholic music though. It's not quite as simple as that, fam. I can attest to GaB's insecurities as I have the exact same problem. It doesn't really concern random nobodies on the internet, as it's probable that you'll always receive hate from them regardless. Rather, this is more focused on people whom you perceive to be your friends. I'm forever worrying if my friends actually like me or if they only talk to me out of convenience or circumstance. I frequently worry about being thought of as boring or uninteresting.
It's a genuinely horrible, debilitating form of anxiety, and can cripple any attempt to socially interact in a natural manner. I can't speak for GaB, but I often feel as if I have to "prove" to people that I'm an interesting, likable person, and am under pressure to do so. It's partly why I see GaB as being such a figure of inspiration for myself, as she's accomplished so much whilst burdened with similar insecurities.
I wish it was as simple as not giving a shit about what people think, but it's not unfortunately.

If I have to interact with some one new out of necessity (cashier, waiter, etc.) I'll be courteous because I was raised right and there's no reason to be a dick if it's unwarranted. I always want to be myself but I'm always afraid that they'll take what I say the wrong way, or that eveything I say will end in awkward silence. Yeah I'm doing better. The last musical performance was last Sunday, and I got to see a lot of friends I hadn't seen in months, and it was really nice to notice that people seemed happy to see me and wanted to talk to me and know what I was doing. :) I felt down again that night because I forgot to turn on the external mic for the second half of the show, so there's no backup sound for the second half now… I just hope the footage of the first mic is okay. It's hard to get out of it when all these small things are bothering you, just one minor thing has to go not the way you want it to, and it just sends you down again. I spent the night at the party talking a bit but eventually people went to talk to other people so I just played some tetris and then we went to bed fairly early.
