Should I jump back into Strange Journey or give Nocturne ago? Or should I give Digital Devil Saga chance? I've only played P3 and 14 hours of SJ so far.
Also SMT discussion; what's your favourite demon? Law / Chaos / Neutral?

If you have a 3ds you should try SMT IV, it was my first SMT outside of the persona games and I really liked it.
Neutral master race.

>>42Yeah I do have a 3DS but it's PAL, I'm not keen on paying full price for a digital only title so I'll wait for emulation. Soul Hackers looks interesting too but I might hold off for now.

Strange Journey isn't that hard, but it has a few tedious sequences that may put you off.
It was my first main SMT and I feel in love with it. Give it a try and don't get discouraged by the very boring intro.

Give Nocturne a try.
It can get really bloody difficult at times, but its an amazing game,so stick through it

Strange Journey is the only SMT game I've put more than 3 hours into but haven't finished. I loved it and got really far, then got stuck. Then a bunch of new Shin Megami Tensei games came out.
I chose "Law" during SMT IV.
My favorite demon tends to change based on the game.

>>87I emulated it first because nobody stocked it then when I did get it I got 12hours in and got lost but I recently loaded my save and found my way. Really enjoyed it, was worth the investment I just need to stop jumping from game to game.

Samael.I fuckin' love Samael.
Best demon.
And route depends on game.Like Law sucks in SMT Strange Journey but its pretty good in SMT IV.
But Mostly I go with Neutral as its pretty cool

So I finally get around to fighting the reaper and get him in my first attempt even though Mitsuru is dead, I forgot that there was an enemy right there and I get attacked and killed before I can get a turn. I feel kinda ripped off.

>>97The other day I finally beat Mot in Nocturne and then I got wiped out by a random encounter.
We both got MegaTen'd

Just bumping this with new P5 info.
>The protagonist is a second year high-schooler who moves to Tokyo during the springtime. Instead of living with relatives, he lives with his parents’ friends in a coffee shop. The Shibuya district is specifically mentioned, but the game will take place across various locales in modern, urban Japan.
>The ball and chains seen in previous trailers represent the protagonist harboring some kind of problem which, if gone unaddressed, could be a huge problem later on. This is evident in the scene depicted in the trailer in which the protagonist is trapped in some kind of mental trap or prison.
>Unlike previous games in the series, the trailer confirms that dungeons are no longer entirely randomly generated; there are set piece areas that are crafted to showcase the thievery motif shown in the trailers, which also have extra material added. However, this doesn’t mean randomly generated areas are gone completely.
>The Social Link option will seemingly be making a comeback, despite not appearing in the latest trailer. Famitsu teases that a Social Link-esque system is currently in the works, but that’s as much as they revealed.
>Finally, we’ve gotten confirmation of the protagonist’s first Persona, dubbed simply Arsène (probably a reference to Arsène Lupin). When characters summon their Personas, they no longer make the “ka!” sound, but instead make a “buchi!” sound.http://nichegamer.net/2015/02/heres-the-first-info-for-persona-5s-setting-protagonist-dungeons-and-more/I'll probably play
Lucifer's Call Nocturne before it comes out again but it's been so long I don't really remember much (apart from that I enjoyed it and a few bits).
