What is the general consensus on the Molot Vepr?
Just another AK knock off?
anyone have any experience with it?
if so, any advice one way or the other?

They're top notch quality, m8. And they're not AK receivers, they're RPK receivers.
I want the super vepr in .308, but it doesn't look like it's going to be imported any time soon.

>Just another AK knock off?
What the hell does this even mean. They use reinforced RPK recievers. Molot used to make PPSHs during WW2 and RPKs later.
>anyone have any experience with it?
Own one in 7.62x54r. It's good.

Pretty acceptable accuracy too. I got about 2MOA with surplus. ~1.5MOA groupings have been reported with better ammo.

At what range did you fire?
444209 No.313159

Is it worth the price? For example the Saiga costs around $700 here while a Vepr goes for 1200-1400 depending on the variant.

It's arguably one of the finest AK pattern rifles. Get the vepr super. I want one in .223 myself, but I problaby won't afford it anytime soon.

250-500 Yard range mostly. Does fine.

Last I saw, .308 Veprs were going for $7-800, but I suppose that stuff is more expensive in Croatia.

Not going to happen any time soon, countryman.
Import ban/block/whatever.
If you are looking for a semi .223 you have to settle for a mini-14, I'm afraid.
>>313293
>250-500 Yard range
damn, that's good.
You used optics, I assume. the stock iron sight (nice as it is) seem to fall short of that kind of accuracy.
what kind was it?

Shoots about as gud as an SVD from what I gather, for the pricepoint that's rather commendable.

Man, I never saw that show. It always looked so faggy. I saw one episode on some Israeli firearm once, and they were freaking out over the red dot sight, which wasn't a new fucking thing. Aimpoints have been around forever.

I got the shotgun. They're not bad, but you have to feed it 3" shells. Some people claim you can get away with 2 3/4" target loads, but I'm not sure if that's true.

I mean, The AR platform today isn't bad but it feels to me like when it was made the AK kinda beat it out.
