0638ac No.315629

No, we're on a razor edge. Most of the Republicans are career statists that would do anything to keep their seats. McConnel (who is also my Senator) is a piece of shit that would sell out every last constituent if it meant keeping his seat.

Politics in the US have become so convoluted, the only thing that differentiates the Left from the Right is what special interest groups they represent, but often anything that mutually aids both sides in keeping their seats and generating personal wealth, while shafting their constituency, they'll do it.

All it would take is for Obama to nominate a moderate Republican like Lindsey Graham, someone the Senate would confirm immediately without reservation, but who's political affiliations and personal crusade would trash the shit out of not only our 2nd Amendment Rights, but other rights as well.

Even if Obama nominated a Liberal and the Senate stalled until the President Elect was sworn into office, we have no idea who the next President will be, it could be Hillary or Sanders.

Good luck with that, we're either going to see a Republican nominee the grab asses will fast track in confirmation (someone like Graham or McCain) but will fucking sink our rights.

Or the Republicans hold out for fear of losing their seats and Hillary or The Bern get in and nominate the most rabid Leftist they can get and we're just as fucked.

>Our only hope now is 3D printed guns. Only technology can make gun bans completely unenforceable.

Printed guns are just media hype. Their only advantage is requiring little to no skill or knowledge beyond setting up the printer and downloading a premade plan.

With basic machine tools you can make high quality small arms from scratch. The only problem is rifled barrels, but 3d printing doesn't help with that and it's not impossible to do yourself anyway. If it comes down to it you can make perfectly serviceable guns from scrap metal with a drill and files

I mean, you're right in principle, but you don't have to rely on computers here. The technology that makes gun bans unenforceable has been around for a long time.

Ammo will be a problem eventually though.

8b01ae No.316324

>>316322

Yeah, without a way to reliably churn out propellant materials from stuff you can get from a supermarket, ammo is a problem.

If you make a filament that can be used for sand-casting, you might be able to make tools for gun machining. You just need to finish the metal if it works.

Which is a huge advantage. The disadvantages will only diminish as the as people innovate their way out of them within the confines of current materials/process, as the technology develops, and, probably most importantly, as patents expire.

They aren't super useful in developing a gun from the ground up right now, but they are at least superior in precision/effort for things like making mags and reliably feeding shotgun casings for now.

>>316324

>Ammo will be a problem eventually though.

>Yeah, without a way to reliably churn out propellant materials from stuff you can get from a supermarket, ammo is a problem.

Due to manufacturing complexity, production of casings in the biggest obstacle for ammunition manufacture, not propellant. Without the capacity to make casings for modern cartridges, you're severely limited in your choices/performance.

8b01ae No.316343

>>316333

You can make ammo out of cheap-shit steel and use it to make non-remanufacturable casings.

>projecting this hard

You'd be surprised what you can learn in your garage if you step away from your computer occasionally. Fabricating parts is a basic skill that you have no excuse for not learning if you want any semblance of self-sufficiency. What will you do when SHTF and a machine you depend on fails for want of a part that any DIY tinkerer could have made in a day?

>Assasinate

The man was nearly 80 and obese. Above the national average life expectancy by a few years.

"pillow over head" =/= clear evidence of suffocation.

Scalia wrote Heller but Thomas was always the most coherent on defending the Second Amendment. Thomas' now-famed dussent in a denial of cert last year is eloquent legal writing and analysis compared to the rambling ass pull that Heller was, giving us this fictitious "in common use" limitation.

The Republucan Majority Senate is at max allert, and Obama is worried about rocking the boat to promote a reactionary response that would sway votes to a Republucan president.

A real lib-agenda assassination of a justice would have happened years ago and would have targeted the healthier and younger justices that had conservative leans.

>"pillow over head" =/= clear evidence of suffocation.

It is however enough evidence of foul play for at least an ME examination of the body, if not even an autopsy.

Yet neither was done.

You completely failed to answer my question, so I will answer it for you. You have made zero modern, quality guns. You are not a gunsmith and have no business telling people that good guns are easy to make from "scratch" and "scrap metal".

Touched a nerve, eh?

>easy

Never said that. Makes sense that you would assume something has to be easy to be possible though.

Without anyone around to learn from, what are some good resources? I'm not even talking /k/, I work on old stuff, and have learned 1 thing at time as I fiddle and fuck around, and look up what I can online, but I feel like I'm making shit up as I go. Most of this stuff is old parts that don't exist anymore and no pictures exist, and I probably am not even using a file right.

Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are refusing to even visits with any potential SCOTUS candidates, let alone any nominees.

Democrats are throwing a hissy fit over it (as usual), lying through their teeth and are threatening to harangue legislation in a sign of "protest".

Of course, Obama's PR campaign has been plastering shit about it all over his Twitter and website, ginning up the hashtag #DoYourJob

They're pissing themselves because they just can't wait to cram another leftists cuck onto the bench to fuck everyone over.

I liked the article where previous house rep, I think, said that even though he tried to block Bush appointments on an election year, it's bullshit they are trying to block Obama's on an election year and they should let him do what he wants. I forget if it was a block on old Bush or recent Bush though

It's not just one article it's a meme. I remember multiple sources, even memes to the front page of Google/Jewgle news feed saying something like:

"Obama: yeah I tried to filibuster SCOTUS candidates in an election year while I was a senator but yall need to let that go and approve mine…"

It's like /pol/ has said, in many ways they are not trying to hide it anymore.

I'm assuming they're all the kind of people who worship the state because they're the ones favored by it? Or at least, all anti-gun authoritarians who would never give idiots like us sharp objects?

I'm sure they are, but unlike politicians, judges aren't openly exposed for their bias. By virtue, they're suppose to be impartial, using the law as their benchmark, but anyone with a brain knows a judge is using a personal or political bias when making a ruling.

They don't even have to be Statists, all they need to be is a "Yes Man". Some one who's going to support rulings that are favored by the Progressives and dissent against rulings that are hated by the Progressives.

How many potential Obama nominees do you think would sell their soul to become a Supreme Court Justice? Even if it meant sending the country down the river?
