There's a practical flaw in all this amassing of old and new data. It it as simple as it is stupid:

You are basically taking all these old torrents and collections, thus splitting the seeder base, which makes it more likely that the old and new torrents will die. Also, you are centralizing everything in one torrent, which makes it easier to work against, as opposed to multiple torrents that exist independently of each other.

The smart idea is to collect and sort info seperately. Download all your torrents, but don't sort them. Keep them as is. Then use a different program to access them and sort everything IN THERE. These kind of collections can then be zip'ed and shared, so others can download their own torrent collection and access it via the created management system.

That is the problem. Things are not really sorted, nor can you just take all the different attempts and mash them together. Believe me, it doesn't work.

What you can do though is get the torrents and sort their content independently in an explorer like CubicExplorer. You can set up the whole thing with bookmarks and everything, making it easy to sort all the files without even relocating them, keeping the original structure.

Then, you can take that setup, zip it and share it with other /k/ommandos. They only need that package and the torrents. Every file they haven't downloaded shows up as missing, but is in the bookmarks!

Apply a system like the Dewey Decimal Classification to the second or third layer and you are golden. Glad I could help.

As most people have noticed, there is a lot of disorganization going on in the files. Here's the solution:

Download the portable version. You can use bookmarks to implement a DDC structure:

Make two changes:

#1 merge 400 and 800, ending up with 800 - Language & Literature

#2 add 400 - Survival & Preparation and throw all your innawoods, military, etc. stuff in there

Reason being for #2 is that you'd have to put it in 300 Social Sciences/Military Science else, not to speak of some other categories that could hold a lot of this broad topic.

/k/ related stuff has by its very nature a broad spectrum and should be kept together, while not fucking up the organization.

A collection of around 600 GB can be sorted into this system in around an hour (using folders, thus messing up the torrents structures).

So instead, use CE and the bookmarks. Once you're done, zip the CE installation and share online. Provided you use the same path, it will show all files (even the ones missing) with no extra work.
