There is nothing successful criminally that you can pull while poor, especially not something /k/. Poor as shit crime-infested areas work by gangs because of this, it is the only way they can afford to make a suitable living off of crime without getting themselves killed in a week or two. This. Before Escobar, there were mexican cartels, but they were more about weed and opium trafficking than cocaine. When Escobar resorted to the biggest drug lord in Mexico to create a new route to deliver the coca to the US, he already had it planned and everything went smooth until Kiki Camarena got killed.
