There is no happy medium with people, its either the best tank or the worst tank. The best tank is only as good as its crew and supporting elements.
54a6b7 No.324412
>>324369
True. Also all tanks are designed to work well within their armed forces doctrine.
T-72s work great with BMPs, MTLBs, BTRs and Soviet style of fighting.
M1A2s work great with Bradleys, M113s, Strykers and American style of fighting.
Switch their places… and they would both suck.

Iran has been actually able to use a mixture of both Soviet and American armor successfully, its far more due to logistics and planning than the influence of combat doctrine on tank design, in Desert storm which was the only major use of M1s you could have replaced US M1s with domestic Russian T-72s and Iraqi tanks with M48s/M60s and export M1s had the same outcome. A lot of the problem with US tanks outside of US service is that M1s tend to be maintenance whores and the US rarely builds adequate maintenance facilities with competent supply chains in countries it occupies for some reason whereas the Soviets usually did and the fact that Soviet tanks can withstand more abuse helps, although the M47/M48 and M60 Pattons were pretty durable and able to operate for years in shitholes.

Used to but that recent patch fucked the game up big time for me, nevermind the retarded decisions of the devs.
I have no idea how the fuck I go from being one of the first in every game to load in pre 0.13 to being lucky if I load in at all post 0.13. Also those logistic costs are fucking bullshit for PvE and the maps are hilariously cramped for 15vs15 PvP, in boring game modes that we've all no doubt played a billion times before in World of SlavTanks.

T-34-85, I remember both Ukraine rebels AND Syria rebels knocking the blocks from a monument and driving the T-34-85 off it into battle. Or was that an IS-3 tank?
Here's an ancient monument with nigger rigged NERA converted into a useful infantry support piece.

I dont think that using tonk invisible to radars would be usefull when fighting someone that doesnt have them.
Its absurd concept build from shit that shouldnt work but we need it to advance technologically.
Real thing thats worthy of attention (not counting really good arty and engimeering vehicles) is project Anders, modular apc/tonk. As a light tank it still can hold 4 people (not counting crew).
We are planning on changing our light tanks (which are t-72. This tells you how fucked our categorysing is.) in a close future.

Ukrainian rebels woke a tired IS-3 up with a bit of WD-40 and fresh Diesel.
I can't remember the phrase a rebel said about some old artillery they found in a museum, went along the lines of our fathers fathers used these and kept them in good care in the case of the day where they're needed to serve again.

Using drone tankettes with AP weapons would be more effective, units would be dirt cheap, easy to maneuver in urban zones and you can keep sending new ones when they get knocked out, then repair the broken units which unlike non-drone tonks are useless to the kebab
